Sutton Stracke Praises RHOSLC Star After Emotional Scene

Sutton Stracke thinks Mary Cosby of “The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City”  is the “epitome of sisterhood.”

The “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star praised Cosby during a December 10 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live” after the mother of one filmed a raw conversation with her son, Robert Jr., about his drug addiction. Stracke told Cohen why she admires Cosby so much.

“I want to give a shout-out to Mary from Salt Lake City,” Stracke told host Andy Cohen. “Because I think she is the epitome of sisterhood within the Bravoland that we live in.”

Stracke told Cohen that she was moved by Cosby’s conversation with her son and it caused her to think about how she could relate to the situation. “I’ve met her, I really love her, but for me, just watching her talk to her son about his addiction,” the RHOBH star said, explaining that she was able to relate to the issue due to her late father’s struggles with drug addiction.

“I think that’s what sisterhood is about, especially with us Housewives,” she added of standing by Cosby. “I think Mary is like THE housewife right now. We gotta protect each other, that’s what this sisterhood is about, being in a safe place, being able to say what you need to say without fear of judgment. And Mary, I love you for it.”

“It’s our platform that we get to say things like that,” she added.

Cohen said he loved what Stracke said about Cosby, and fans agreed.

“Sutton 👏. That was so kind and genuine ❤️ to say about Mary. And- so true!!!” one fan wrote on Instagram.

“I get it, because I was blown away from the way Mary handled that convo. U can tell this was authentic,” another agreed.

Other fans felt that Cosby’s scene with her son was more about motherhood than sisterhood.

As of this writing, Cosby has not publicly commented on Stracke’s remarks.

Mary Cosby Gave an Update After Her Emotional On-Camera Conversation With Her Son

In the RHOSLC season 5 episode titled “Troop Salt Lake City,” Cosby expressed concern over her 21-year-old son after she noticed his behavior had changed. The Bravo star later allowed cameras into his room as she confronted him.

Robert admitted to taking a variety of prescription drugs, including Xanax, Adderall, and Oxycontin, as well as cocaine. He also confessed to his mom that he began taking pills at age 16.

“I can help you,” Cosby told her son. “I can try to help you, but you have to help yourself, because I’m not gonna support it. I’m not. You know I’m not.”

During a December 5 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” Cosby told Cohen that her son was doing well after completing a 30-day inpatient treatment program for substance abuse. “He did an excellent job. He came out a new person,” she said. She added that she allowed cameras to film the scene because she felt it would help others.
