Shannon Beador Responds to John Janssen’s Post-Season Tell-All Interview

“The Real Housewives of Orange County” season 18 ended with reunion part 3 on November 21, and while he appeared in a confessional interview, John Janssen did not grace the reunion stage to share his side of the story in regards to his lawsuit with his ex Shannon Beador. Less than a week later, Janssen got the chance to share his story in a tell-all interview with Entertainment Weekly, shared to the outlet’s YouTube channel on November 27.

In a November 2024 interview for SiriusXM’s radio show “Jeff Lewis Live”, Beador opened up with her reaction to Janssen’s 30-minute post-season interview, saying, “I don’t care. Do your interview, whatever you need to say, and then go away. I paid you your money. Go away. I don’t want to talk about you anymore.”

Shannon Beador Settled Her Lawsuit With John Janssen

Janssen’s lawsuit against Beador (for $75,000 he allegedly loaned to her during the course of their relationship) was an ongoing story during RHOC season 18, as fans saw Beador react to the initial suit, attempt to settle out of court, and prepare for a potential trial during the run of the season, all while running into Janssen’s new girlfriend (now fiancée) Alexis Bellino out at group events.

While the legal battle was still pending at the reunion, Beador shared proof that the case had been settled for $60,000 on Instagram shortly after the reunion finished airing.

“I wasn’t going to go a dollar above. And by the way his attorney said, ‘Could she just go up a couple grand?’ I go, ‘Listen. It’s $60,000, and if he doesn’t take that I’ll see him in court,'” Beador told Lewis about how she came to that figure with Janssen.

Alexis Bellino ‘Broken’ By RHOC Season 18

While Janssen appeared very minimally in RHOC season 18, his girlfriend Bellino was a constant presence, serving as a “Friend of the Housewives” on the latest installment. Bellino was often accused of acting as Janssen’s “mouthpiece” on the show, but in a November 22 Instagram post following the season, she opened up about her perspective on the tough season, which she said left her “broken.”

“I have been beaten down so badly, so wrongly, and so many truths left out. So much left on the cutting room floor that would’ve never brought so much hate to me and my family.” Bellino wrote in her caption, going on to add, “I also want it to be known that I never thought I’d be brought back this season to be the villain. If I had known that I never would’ve signed. I live in love. Not anger or hate or villainous. I truly lay awake every night wondering why it was portrayed this way. Unfortunately, this season made a hit show at my and John’s expense. I thought my beating all season would be finally advocated for at the reunion and the truth would prevail. Sometimes God has a different plan. I will now use my own platform and my voice to share the truth with you because I do not live in toxicity, falsehoods, hateful behavior, victim hood or lies.”
