Robbie Williams Buys Bravo Star’s House for $40M Plus $5M in Furniture

Robbie Williams is making Miami his new home base with the purchase of a waterfront mansion from “Real Housewives of Miami” star Dr. Nicole Martin. The British music icon secured the Coral Gables property for $40 million in an off-market transaction. An additional $5 million was allocated for the home’s furnishings.

The sprawling estate sits on a private one-acre peninsula in the exclusive Old Cutler Bay neighborhood. The property represents a significant investment for Williams as he relocates his family of six from California to Florida.

The deal sets a new benchmark for the prestigious waterfront community at approximately $5,000 per square foot.

Williams plans to move his wife, Ayda Field, and their children to the Florida residence immediately. This marks a major lifestyle change from their previous Beverly Hills home. They sold the residence to Drake for $75 million, according to the New York Post.

Builders completed the 19,380-square-foot smart home in 2016, and it features seven bedrooms, seven full bathrooms, and two powder rooms. The property includes resort-style amenities such as a pool and spa, fire pit, outdoor kitchen, wine cellar, and an impressive 18-car garage.

Dennis Carvajal from ONE Sotheby’s International Realty represented the property seller, and Chad Carroll from The Chad Carroll Group at Compass served as the buyer’s agent in the transaction.

Ambitious Renovation Plans

Williams isn’t content with simply moving into the existing luxury residence. The pop star has enlisted developer Manny Angelo Varas, known as “The Billionaire’s Builder,” to oversee an ambitious $5 million expansion project. The project will add between 2,500 and 3,500 square feet to the property.

“We’re doing a ground-up build,” Varas told the New York Post. “He’ll be relocating immediately to the existing home, and we’re going to be doing new construction, adding between 2,500 and 3,500 square feet.”

The centerpiece of the renovation includes a 2,000-square-foot guest pavilion designed as a flexible space. The pavilion could potentially function as a recording studio. This addition would allow Williams to work from home when he’s not touring. It would provide the perfect blend of personal and professional space.

One of the most unique features the team is exploring is a floating padel court, which would attach to the property. This would serve as the first residential floating padel court in the United States. Varas drew inspiration from a similar court in the Exumas and is working with the city to make this concept a reality.

“It’s a super unique attraction that exists,” Varas explained. “I proposed having a floating padel court, which would be a multifunctional space attached to the property.”

Strategic Real Estate Move

The sellers, Dr. Martin and her fiancé, attorney Anthony Lopez, originally purchased the peninsula property in 2022 for $21.5 million. According to Robb Report, the couple spent two years completely renovating the residence, which was featured on the popular Bravo franchise.

Their transformation, combined with Florida’s strong luxury real estate market, more than doubled the property’s value. Lopez acknowledged the difficulty of letting go of their dream home, telling The Real Deal, “It was one of those offers that felt irresponsible to say no to.”

The couple has built an impressive portfolio of high-end Miami real estate over the years. In 2022, they sold a nearby Coral Gables estate to Jeff Bezos’s mother for $44 million. In 2021, they purchased a condo on ultra-exclusive Fisher Island for $7.5 million.

Williams’ decision to relocate from California to Miami represents a broader trend among high-profile celebrities seeking different lifestyle opportunities. According to Varas, various factors motivated the move, including taxes, safety considerations, and overall quality of life improvements.

The renovation team expects to complete the entire project within a year, allowing Williams and his family to enjoy their upgraded waterfront home while keeping the property’s modern design and excellent condition.
