‘Real Housewives’ Alum Sparks Rumors She’s Dating Her Ex-Husband

There have been several cast members for “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” over the years. One of them is Eva Marcille, who was on the show for three seasons. Recently, the acclaimed model reunited with her ex-husband, Michael Sterling, sparking rumors they’ve rekindled the romance. 

Eva Marcille recently attended the Essence Festival in New Orleans. Notably, she posted a short video to her Instagram page, featuring none other than Michael Sterling. The former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star captioned the post, “Happy Essence! I’m floating. Soft launch.” She also included a sunflower in the caption. 

So far, the post has almost 90,000 likes and well over 7,000 comments on the platform. Many took Eva Marcille’s post to mean she’s soft-launching their relationship after having been divorced for multiple years. 

Eva Marcille and Michael Sterling Were Married for Several Years

Eva Marcille and Michael Sterling tied the knot in October 2018 after several years of dating. They have two kids together, but the sad news of their divorce emerged in 2023. Eva told PEOPLE, “This has been one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make, but sometimes life takes your journey in a direction you were not expecting.”

The model and actress continued, “Our children remain our biggest priority, and the eight and a half years we have spent together will always be cherished. We ask that you respect our privacy at this time.” At the time, her attorney stated that they were “currently living in a bona fide state of separation.”

As mentioned, Eva Marcille and Michael Sterling have two children together. However, he has also been a father figure to Eva’s daughter from a previous relationship, something she openly discussed while on the cast of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” Eva was also pregnant with their youngest child while on the hit Bravo show.

Marcille joined the cast of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” in the show’s 11th season. She began as a friend of the show but was promoted to full-time the following season. However, she announced her departure from the series in 2020. 

According to PEOPLE, Eva said on “The Ricky Smiley Morning Show,” “I appreciate the bond of friendship that I’ve made with my castmates and strong personal relationships I have with numerous executives and producers of Bravo.”

Eva went on, “I am thankful for the opportunity I was provided; however, after speaking with my family and representatives, I believe that what I hope to accomplish for the culture and community will be better served by focusing on other opportunities.”

She then said, “I look forward to serving the community on the Ricky Smiley Morning show and finding other ways to be a voice during this transformational time in our country for people of color.”

Since leaving the show, Eva Marcille has devoted much of her time to her acting career. Additionally, she was featured on the yet-to-be-aired season of “Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Morocco.”
