“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” personality Paul “PK” Kemsley said he and his estranged wife, Dorit Kemsley, thought about exiting the Bravo series before filming the show’s 14th season.
During a December 2024 appearance on Bravo producer Alex Baskin’s podcast, “Bravo’s Hot Mic,” PK Kemsley shared he thinks starring in the series changed his relationship with Dorit Kemsley. According to PK Kemsley, Dorit Kemsley is “a different person” than who she was when they first met in 2011. As fans are aware, the Kemsleys announced they were separating after nine years of marriage in May 2024.
When Baskin inquired if the couple “ever consider walking away from the show,” PK Kemsley replied, “We did consider that and we did talk about it.” He said, however, that he actually encouraged his estranged wife to renew her RHOBH contract for season 14, which premiered in December 2024.
“I actually said to Dorit before she signed up for this season, I said, ‘If we don’t make it, if we’re not together, would you still do the show?’ Because there was a point that she was going to walk from the show. But I didn’t want her to walk knowing that our marriage was in jeopardy. And then her say, ‘You made me lose my job.’ So I was never going to do that,” said PK Kemsley in the interview.
PK Kemsley also said he now regrets filming RHOBH. He suggested he thinks his marriage to Dorit Kemsley would have remained intact if not for the Bravo show.
Dorit Kemsley Spoke About Returning to RHOBH For Season 14
In a November 2024 episode of “Bravo’s Hot Mic,” Dorit Kemsley said she considered leaving RHOBH following its 13th season. She explained she and PK Kemsley had just separated and she did not have any close friendships with her castmates, except Erika Jayne.
“I didn’t know if I had the strength, the courage, the will to do another season,” said Dorit Kemsley.
In addition, she said she did not want to continue filming for RHOBH because her estranged husband had encouraged her to do so. She said she felt the need to refuse his request because she wanted “to take back that control.” Dorit Kemsley also theorized that PK Kemsley wanted her to remain on the RHOBH cast because he was getting prepared to separate from her.
“I would suspect that he either foresaw that there would be a separation or we were heading in that direction and this allowed me to have financial independence,” said Dorit Kemsley on the podcast episode.
She also shared why she eventually decided to film for RHOBH season 14.
“It felt like I was leaving too soon. I had unfinished business,” said Dorit Kemsley.

Dorit Kemsley shared where she stands with PK Kemsley in a November 2024 interview on “Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen.”
“Things are good. We are friendly. We are communicating and things are status-quo,” said Dorit Kemsley during the WWHL interview.
In addition, she admitted that their children, Jagger, 10, and Phoenix, 8, do not know she and PK Kemsley are separated.
