Bravo officially announced the series on May 7, describing it as set “against the shores of the Ocean State.” The show also features “a tight-knit circle of Rhode Islanders who have deep community roots and families that go back generations.”

Providence Scene Steals the Show

The Providence filming session featured suspected cast member Rosie Woods DiMare, a DJ and former television news anchor. She was accompanied by her husband, Rich. GoLocal’s exclusive photography captured the couple in a carefully orchestrated scene on Wickenden Street in the Fox Point neighborhood.

The elaborate sequence showed the DiMares arriving in a pink Jeep before making their way to the Diamond Bar. They came with a full camera crew tracking their every move. An employee at the Diamond Bar confirmed the filming activity when contacted by The Newport Daily News, stating: “All I can say is that people saw someone who was rumored to be participating at our store yesterday.”

The waterfront restaurant provided a scenic backdrop for filming, with its bayside location offering views of the water. Production vans and a limousine filled the parking lot during the shoot, showing the scale of the production operation.

Water Street Kitchen displayed a large consent-to-film notice, a standard practice for reality TV productions that signals official filming activity. Like the Diamond Bar, the restaurant declined to provide detailed comments about the filming. The Bar employees maintained the confidentiality typical of pre-broadcast productions.

Andy Cohen, the franchise’s executive producer, has expressed enthusiasm about the Rhode Island cast. He told Page Six: “The cast is incredible. They are very Italian. Rhode Island is such a small state, and they all kind of know each other and overlap, and it’s an incredible group of women who have really interesting connections.”

“The Real Housewives of Rhode Island” represents the 11th franchise in the successful series.
