“Real Housewives” OG NeNe Leakes could make a return to the Atlanta franchise.
TMZ caught up with the reality star and talked to her about “Wicked” actress Cynthia Erivo wanting her back on the show.
“Cynthia, I love you, thank you so much and I totally agree,” Leakes said into the camera. She went on to say that it was a “pleasure” to know that Erivo watched the show and was a fan.
When the reporter asked Leakes if she would return to the show, she replied, “I don’t know.” Then she elaborated. “If the opportunity was right and the check was on point, why not?” she said. She laughed and shrugged her shoulders as if to imply that she’s totally open to the possibility of a Bravo return.
Leakes was on RHOA for its first seven seasons. She left for a bit before returning in a full-time role on season 10. She left again after season 12.

Following Leakes’ interview with TMZ, some fans took to Reddit to react.
“I think being off the show and not having much work has humbled her and that’s a great thing her last couple seasons she was a horrible human being but early seasons nene was top tier,” one person wrote.
“Make it happen, please, Bravo! We deserve this,” someone else said.
“I’m not defending Nene’s behavior towards the end of her run, but I do believe people can grow, evolve, and change to some degree. That being said, I would take any version of Linnethia Leakes on my tv again,” a third comment read.
“For awhile RHOA had the best cast, and I would love to see them back together,” a fourth Redditor added.
Cynthia Erivo Is a Big Fan of NeNe Leakes
Erivo did an interview with W magazine during which she was asked what her favorite reality show was. Without hesitation, she responded, “‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta.'”
“I also love Potomac. It’s fantastic. They’re very honest, which I like. Also, there’s no fighting or fisticuffs, but they will read each other crazily. Atlanta definitely gets a little rowdy, though,” she continued.
She was then asked if she was a fan of Leakes and she said that she loves her and wants her back on the show.
“I am a NeNe Leakes fan. I love her. Where is she? Bring her back, please. She’s great,” Erivo replied.
