“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Mauricio Umansky provided an update after being injured in a skiing accident in Colorado on February 14.
Umansky had surgery to fix a broken clavicle.
“Thank you 🙏🏻 to everyone who has reached out. I have felt so much love and support,” Umansky wrote in his Instagram post on February 16. “I have surgery on my clavicle it was a clear break but required a metal plate and 12 screws. I expect a speedy recovery.”
“The Doctors and Nurses at Aspen Valley Hospital are the best,” he added. “I was wearing a helmet and that for sure saved me.”
Umansky first posted on his Instagram Story on February 14 to let fans know he had been injured in a skiing accident.
“I feel so blessed to be taken care of by such amazing humans. Ski patrol, paramedics, Aspen Hospital, you’re all the best,” Umansky wrote on his Instagram Stories on Valentine’s Day.
With that, he also posted a photo of himself in a hospital bed along with a video of him being carted off the mountain by ski patrol.
Mauricio Umansky’s Estranged Wife Kyle Richards Has Been Supporting Teddi Mellencamp
Umansky’s estranged wife Kyle Richards had been by Teddi Mellencamp’s side after the former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star was diagnosed with brain tumors.
Mellencamp revealed in an Instagram post on February 12 that doctors confirmed she had several brain tumors, two of which were going to be surgically removed. She added that “the remaining tumors will be dealt with via radiation at a later date.”
“For the last several weeks I’ve been dealing with severe and debilitating headaches. Yesterday the pain was unbearable and required hospitalization,” Mellencamp wrote via her Instagram post. “After a CT scan and MRI, doctors found multiple tumors on my brain, which they believe have been growing for at least 6 months.”
Richards was shown visiting her in the hospital along with singer Morgan Wade on Mellencamp’s Instagram Story on February 12.

Richards opened up about what went wrong between her and Umansky during the February 4 episode of the “Bravo’s Hot Mic” podcast.
She made it clear that the decision “had nothing to do with the show.” Instead, it had to do with Umansky’s busy schedule after he started The Agency, a real estate firm with offices all across the world.
“He’s getting attention that he didn’t get before. There’s more people looking at him. He’s a rich man. It’s a very different situation,” Richards explained.
“I think even looking and seeing him as a great husband, a great dad, is appealing to some of these women out there. That don’t care if someone is married. Just I think having that thrown in your face all the time. And of course, me being busy, and traveling, I think all of that did not help.”
The result was that their relationship was put on the back burner for their respective careers.
“Just not making our marriage a priority because there were so many things going on,” Richards stated.
The two went through some difficult times in their marriage, and some of that was documented on the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” season 13. In episode 17, which was the season finale, Richards and Umansky were shown sitting down with their children to discuss their separation.
