Luann de Lesseps Shares Why She Was ‘So Embarrassed’ When She Met Mick Jagger

“Real Housewives of New York City” alum Luann de Lesseps says she had an embarrassing encounter with Mick Jagger. 

During an appearance on the December 2 episode of Cynthia Bailey and Crystal Kung Minkoff’s podcast, “Humble Brag,” de Lesseps said that her friend had invited Jagger to dinner. According to the RHONY star, after de Lesseps was introduced to Jagger, her friend had him listen to her song, “Chic C’est Liv.” 

“She starts bragging to him that I’m a ‘recording artist.’ And she put on ‘Chic C’est Liv.’ I’m ready to crawl under the table. I’m so embarrassed, I’m, like, ready to die,” said de Lesseps. 

De Lesseps said that Jagger eventually asked her to dance. 

“He said, ‘Do you want to dance?’ And I said, ‘Okay.’ So we get up and we start dancing to ‘Chic.’ A little flirt,” said de Lesseps. 

Luann de Lesseps Said Her Biggest Regret Has to do With Miley Cyrus

While recording the “Humble Brag” episode, de Lesseps said her biggest regret had to do with singer Miley Cyrus. De Lesseps said Cyrus’ team reached out to her and asked if she would surprise her at a Grammy’s after party. 

De Lesseps said she decided to decline the offer as the request was “last minute.” She said she wished she had taken the opportunity. 

“That’s the one thing I regret,” said de Lesseps. 

De Lesseps made similar comments during a November 2024 interview with TooFab. According to de Lesseps, members of Cyrus’ team “asked me to come and surprise her [Miley] for her Grammy party.” 

“They were like, ‘We don’t know if she’s going to win.’ But let me tell you, I have no regrets in life, but that is my one regret that I did not jump on that plane. Because she ended up winning a Grammy and I’m so happy for her. I just love Miley Cyrus,” said de Lesseps to TooFab. 

Luann de Lesseps Spoke About What Inspired Her to Do a Cabaret Show

De Lesseps stopped filming for RHONY in 2020. She has since been focused on her cabaret show. While speaking to Rough Draft Atlanta in November 2024, De Lesseps shared what she most loves about doing cabaret. She said that she has always been interested in variety shows, particularly the “Carol Burnett Show” and the “Cher” show. 

In addition, she said that she did not expect that her shows would be as successful as they are. De Lesseps said, however, that she “put[s] on a great show

“Most people don’t realize that, because with the ‘Housewives’ you don’t really see all that, because of music rights, etc. So they’re always showing the drama around my cabaret, but they’re never showing what I really do. So when people come, they’re like – oh my god! This is a great show,” said de Lesseps.
