Bravo Star Puts Support Behind PK Kemsley Amid Separation

Bravo star Lisa Vanderpump recently weighed in on Dorit Kemsley and Paul “PK” Kemsley’s separation.

“I think it had been a slow demise for quite a long time,” Vanderpump said on the December 5 episode of “Housewives Nightcap.”

“We do have mutual friends, so I’ve heard rumors. But again, you hope for the best really for them with two young little ones. But PK and I definitely have mutual friends so I know what’s going on and I wish him very well,” she stated.

Vanderpump’s comment comes seven months after the Kemsleys announced their decision to separate.

Lisa Vanderpump Previously Said She Was ‘Sad’ to Learn That Dorit & PK Kemsley Had Split

Vanderpump, who has known the Kemsleys for many years, previously discussed the separation and expressed sadness, mainly due to the children; the Kemsleys are parents to Jagger, 10, and Phoenix, 8.

“I feel for anybody that’s got young children,” Vanderpump told E! News in May 2024. “It’s not just the relationship, is it? It’s everything that’s displaced,” she continued. She went on to say that the situation is “sad regardless of” how she feels about them.

“I always feel bad for the situation,” she added. The restauranteur also told the outlet that she heard “rumors” about the Kemsleys, though she didn’t go into detail.

“I normally hear everything. That’s one of the good things and bad things about the restaurant business, you tend to hear a lot of what’s going on,” she stated.

“It’s hard to stay married, especially in this arena. I think some people get carried away with their own self-importance and maybe their priorities change. We see a lot of people jumping into reality television and, some women, they’re emancipated suddenly because they have their own career, when maybe they didn’t before. So, in a way, there’s this kind of freedom,” she explained.

Dorit Kemsley Shared Insight Into Her Split From PK

Back in May, the Kemsleys released a joint statement on social media, confirming their split.

“We as a couple have been subject to a lot of speculation about our marriage. We have had our struggles over the last few years and continue to work through them as two people who love each other and share two amazing children together,” their statement read.

“To safeguard our deep friendship and maintain a harmonious environment for our children we have made the mutual and difficult decision to take some time apart and reevaluate our relationship while we prioritize our children. We appreciate your love and support while we continue to do the work necessary throughout this journey,” they concluded.

On the 14th season of RHOBH, the Kemsleys have held a main storyline, thanks to their split. On the show, they’ve both talked about the things that went wrong in their marriage.

“There was no catastrophic event, no one cheated on anyone. A week ago, there was a moment and it was over nothing. One thing led to another and we sat down like two very mature adults who love and care about one another and mutually decided that taking some space and separating is the best thing for us,” Dorit Kemsley said on the season 14 premiere.
