Kyle Richards Refuses to Answer Question About Mauricio Umansky

“Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Kyle Richards filmed her first post-split scene with Mauricio Umansky and it spawned an interesting reaction to a confessional question.

In a sneak peek season 14 clip posted by Bravo, the separated couple sat down for a chat shortly after Umansky moved out of their Encino, California home.

In a confessional interview during the December 3 episode, a producer asked Richards if she had any hopes for a reconciliation with her husband of 28 years. The Bravo star paused then replied, “I don’t want to answer that question right now.”

In October 2024, Richards told Us Weekly she hadn’t thought about a possible reconciliation with her husband. “Right now, we’re just gonna leave it as is,” she said. 

Richards and Umansky announced their separation in July 2023 but they continued to live together at their Encino estate. Nearly one year later, Us Weekly reported that Umansky purchased a luxury condo in West Hollywood, California. At the time, a source told the outlet the former couple had been “living separately” for several months but that Umansky sometimes stayed at the Encino house when Richards was away.

In December 2024, Umansky hosted The Agency’s holiday soiree at the Encino house, as seen on Instagram.

In the RHOBH clip, Richards noted that Umansky had an easy life in a condo community without household duties and the care of the couple’s many dogs. “I’m like thinking about you in this condo with no dogs, no gates ringing,” she said to Umansky as he laughed. “You literally have, like, no responsibilities over there. Free as a [expletive] breeze, aren’t you.”

“Mo made the decision to sign a six-month lease,” Richards shared in her confessional. “I think for Mo saying to give it six months made it easy to transition from living here to going to a new place. It also gives us the time to assess where we’re at. You live your life, I live my life, and maybe we’ll reconvene in six months or so and see what happens. I don’t know.”

Richards also admitted that she assumed that when Umansky got his new place that he was “going to have it staged because it was temporary.” “But he decided to buy the furniture, which of course, is more permanent,” she added. “So, then I thought, oh, well, this does not seem very temporary.”

Fans reacted to the comment section of the clip on Instagram.

“Mo and PK have flown the nest, permanently,” one commenter wrote, referencing Umansky and fellow RHOBH husband PK Kemsley.

“Never seen Mo happier. Kinda sad for Kyle,” another wrote.

Richards first talked about Umansky’s move-out during an appearance on the “B*tch Bible” podcast on May 14, 2024. She told host Jackie Schimmel that her husband moved out when she was out of town.

“That was weird. I always knew that when that day came, it would feel strange, you know, very real all of a sudden, and that’s exactly what happened,” she said.

“I mean, I’m a mom of four, you know, I have a busy household,” the RHOBH star added. “I’ve got six dogs right now. I’m used to having a lot of chaos and stuff going on around in my house, and the day that he moved out was just strange because I came home and I was like, ‘Everything’s so quiet.’ “
