Kyle Richards Gives ‘Real Housewives’ Star Advice on Her Husband

Kyle Richards gave a fellow “Real Housewives” star advice on keeping her husband out of the spotlight.

During an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live” taped during Bravo Fan Fest in Miami, the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star was asked who her favorite “Househusband” was and she joked that “there’s none left” on her show. Richards added that “obviously” she would pick her estranged husband Mauricio Umansky, who has long been a fan favorite.

Host Andy Cohen then asked Richards if she had any advice for “Real Housewives of New York City” star Erin Lichy, given the newfound popularity of her husband, Abe, on the Big Apple-based Bravo reality show.

“Maybe tell him to stay off camera,” Richards told Lichy. “[Stay home], put a mask on him!”

According to Us Weekly, weeks after Richards and Umansky announced their separation in July 2023, Cohen was asked who he thought was the “hottest” husband of the Housewives franchise and he named Umansky. “He’s available,” Cohen teased of the newly single Bravo star.

“Attractive, attentive and faithful” Umansky was also named the No. 1 hottest of all of the Househusbands in a list posted by Thrillist.

During the WWHL taping, Cohen recalled Umansky’s long-reigning title as the hottest husband in the Bravo universe but noted that Lichy’s husband was coming for him.

“Erin’s husband is becoming very popular,” Cohen said to Richards. “Everybody loves Abe the Babe. For years we were doing polls on ‘Watch What Happens Live,’ ‘Who’s hottest husband?’ Mauricio always won. Abe could be coming to get Mauricio’s title.”

“He can have it! Richards fired back. “It’s torture, it’s annoying. You know, my sister Kathy used to say you know ‘Quit putting him out there so much. Why do you want to put your husband out there? Quit building him up on television, why do you want everyone coming for him?’”

When the new cast of RHONY made their debut in 2023, Lichy reacted to comments about her husband being the “hottest” of all of the men on the rebooted Bravo reality show.

During a red carpet interview on Access Hollywood’s “Housewives Nightcap,” Lichy admitted she sometimes forgot how handsome her husband was. “Oh yeah, he looks pretty snazzy right there,” Lichy said as she looked across the red carpet at her husband. “He’s cute. I, like, forget that he’s good-looking because I’m like with him all the time, but he’s cute.”
