Kyle Richards shared an update on her daughter Alexia Umansky’s upcoming wedding to Jake Zingerman—and it was both emotional and “embarrassing.”
During a February 2025 Amazon Livestream, the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star admitted that she broke down in tears while shopping for wedding dresses with her daughter in New York City.
“I didn’t think I was going to be this person, but the first dress she came out in, I started crying,” Richards told her Amazon Live viewers. “Such a cliche. Oh my gosh, so embarrassing.”
The mom of four continued, “I don’t know what it is. It’s like that scene in ‘Father of the Bride’ when the little girl says to her dad, ‘I’m getting married,’ and all of sudden he looks and it’s a 5-year-old talking. That’s how I felt. I was looking at her and thinking, ‘But she’s just a baby.’ And it just makes you realize how fast time flies. It was happy and exciting and then it was little, like, ‘Oh my gosh. Time flies too quickly.’ But it was really fun looking at wedding dresses and she is so excited.”

GettyIn a December 2024 interview with Parade, Richards revealed that she had been thinking of a wedding location for her daughter. “I’ve just been thinking about venues. Where does she want to get married? LA or Aspen? So, we shall see,” Richards shared.
During an Amazon Livestream on January 7, she revealed that a date had been set for the nuptials. “We have a date,” Richards shared. “We have a date. It’s September 6th.”
“I asked her if I could say that,” she assured fans after spilling the date. “I said am I allowed if anyone asks me?”
Richards shared more details during the February 4 edition of the RHOBH After Show. “We have so much happening because Alexia’s getting married [on] September 6 in Aspen,” she said.
Fans know that the Umansky family has a vacation home in Aspen, Colorado, and they spend several months a year there.

Richards has helped with her daughter’s nuptials from the beginning.
She told Parade that Zingerman asked for her help as he prepared to propose to Alexia. “He asked my permission,” Richards told the outlet in December 2024. “And then he had me help him through the process of picking the ring. And he was so cute, including me. I went with him to many different places to look, and it was just so sweet that he included me in that whole process.”
The ring Richards helped pick out was an emerald-cut diamond engraved with the word “Sweetheart” and a small heart inside, as seen in photos posted by BravoTV.com.
As for the wedding planning itself, Richards may not have to be quite so involved. On the “RHOBH After Show,” she explained, “Alexia is very hands-on. She knows exactly what she wants. She is planning like crazy. I’m just saying, ‘Love it! Perfect!’ She has a very clear vision of what she wants and, basically, we just have to pay for it.”
Richards previously had to hold back when her eldest daughter Farrah Aldjufrie got engaged to Alex Manos in November 2021.
At the time, Richards told Today that she had been waiting to plan a wedding. “I’ve been dreaming of this day forever,” she said. “I can’t wait to take her to go register for her dishes and her glasses or stemware … all that stuff just sounds exciting to me. Picking the venue. I’ve already been asking, ‘Where do you want to do it? Do you want to do it at our home? Do want to go to a hotel? Destination wedding?'”
But Aldjufrie wasn’t as enthused about the wedding planning and moved at a slow pace. During a March 2024 interview with Entertainment Tonight, Aldjufrie confirmed she ended her engagement.
