Kyle Richards Gives Career Update Amid RHOBH Hiatus

Kyle Richards has a full plate amid “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.”

In an April 2025 interview with Parade, the Bravo TV personality gave an update on her acting career as she continued to await news on the fate of her long-running reality show.

“I think people forget because it gets overshadowed with ‘Housewives,’ but I’m always doing things here and there,” Richards told the outlet about her acting career. “I won’t always be doing reality television, but I hope to always be acting and producing television like I’ve been doing, and that’s what brings me the greatest joy.”

Richards, 56, has been a main cast member on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” since the show’s debut in 2010. But before that, she was known for an acting career that dated back to the 1970s when she was a child.

There is no word on Richards’ status on RHOBH. During an April 8 Amazon Livestream, the Bravo OG was asked when filming for season 15 would begin and if she has plans to return to the series. “Unclear, across the board,” Richards replied.

Kyle Richards Recently Booked Several Acting Roles

Richards is not waiting around for RHOBH’s 15th season to start to get in front of the camera. In April 2025, she appeared in the “Wild Cards” Season 2 episode, “Our Lip (Fillers) Are Sealed.”  In the episode, she played a wealthy housewife named Talia.

Days later, Deadline announced that Richards would be a guest star  on “The Lincoln Lawyer.” The RHOBH veteran will play a “Beverly Hills fabulous” client named Celeste on the Netflix legal drama.

“So excited to be a part of this! #LincolnLawyer #netflix,” Richards wrote on Instagram.

Kyle Richards Said Acting is Her First Love

Richards was just 5 years old when she began her credited acting career in a 1974 “Police Woman” episode, according to IMDb. She once told the Los Angeles Times that “haters” should check out her resume, which includes a 105-episode role in the 1980s sitcom, “Down to Earth.”

“I only stepped away from acting when I was pregnant and my babies were little,” Richards told Parade magazine in a 2012 interview. She added, “I was on ‘ER’ for ten years on and off, I was pregnant during some of it and hiding my stomach in my scrubs. I really have a passion [for acting].”

In an interview with People magazine, Richards admitted that she would rather act than do anything else. “[Acting] really is my first love and I am enjoying it so much… I’m happy to keep doing it,” she said in 2021.

While “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” will have an expiration date, Richards once told The Cut she hopes to continue acting until she’s 100 years old.
