Kathy Hilton Gives Update on Sister Kim Richards Ahead of Family Holiday

Kathy Hilton says her sister Kim Richards is doing well months after she reportedly suffered a setback in her sobriety.

In a December 2024 interview, the “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” “friend” told People magazine she would be spending the Christmas holidays with both of her sisters, Kim and Kyle Richards. “She’s doing well,” Hilton told the outlet of Kim. “Yes. We’ll all be together.”

Hilton noted that she is unsure where the family will gather for the 2024 holiday. “Paris wants to do one of them,” she said of her daughter Paris Hilton hosting either Christmas Eve or Christmas Day. “I’m used to doing it all. Or we go to Kyle’s or we go to Kim’s, so I will see.”

In September, TMZ reported that Kim Richards, 60, was placed on a 5150 “psych hold” and was off from all contact with her family after relapsing with alcohol. But Kyle Richards told Page Six the family rallied together for Kim, with eldest sibling Hilton heading things up. “You know, we are a family. When something’s going on with one of us, we all sort of stick together and circle around each other and try to be there and lift each other up,” she said.

Kyle Richards Talked About Hosting the Holidays

While the famous family’s holiday plans may not be set in stone just yet, Kyle Richards previously told People that she is known for her “legendary” Christmas feast. “My family loves my turkey and my mashed potatoes. I’m very good at cooking, I must say,” she dished.

Kyle Richards revealed that she leaves the dessert prep to Kim. “So here’s the thing: I’m known for making the best holiday dinner. I really am,” she told Vulture in an interview. “And Kim, my sister, is the one who makes the best dessert. She’s famous for her fudge. So I’m always like, ‘Don’t forget your fudge!’ She makes unbelievable fudge. So she’s the one who makes the best dessert.”

Kathy Hilton Has Hopes for a Happy 2025 for Everybody

While 2024 wasn’t the easiest year for the Richards family, Hilton told Access Hollywood’s Housewives Nightcap” that she believes there will be good fortune for all in the New Year.

“I met this incredible astrologist,” she said in the interview. “2025— but I’ve been hearing about that for the last two or three years— is going to be everything shifting. So everybody is going to have a good 2025. It doesn’t matter who, what sign you are, it is just, remember astrology is a science.”

“And I wish that for everybody in 2025, good health and happiness,” the RHOBH season 14 alum added. “And try to be let’s just all be kind to each other and love each other.”
