“The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City” star Meredith Marks has heard from Jen Shah. Marks opened up about her communication with Shah during the After Show of the November 27 episode of “Watch What Happens Live”, which was filmed at Bravo Fan Fest in Miami.
During the After Show, one fan asked Marks and her RHOSLC co-stars Heather Gay and Lisa Barlow, “We wanted to know if there is any contact between Jen Shah and all of you?”
After Marks responded, “Yes,” host Andy Cohen asked her to elaborate, and the snowflake-holder explained, “Jen called me a few weeks ago from prison, and it’s my first call from a federal penitentiary. She told me I could check it off my bucket list, and she sounds great. It was a quick call, it’s recorded, it’s 10 minutes, it gets cut off, but she sounds like she’s doing very well.”
Meredith Marks Texts With Jen Shah’s Husband
This isn’t Marks’ first time talking with the Shah family since Jen’s 2022 sentencing and 2023 imprisonment. In January 2024, Marks shared that she is still in touch with Jen’s husband Sharrieff “Coach” Shah while being interviewed for Scheana Shay’s DearMedia podcast “Scheananigans”.
“I text with Sharrieff, occasionally. I check in. Like over the holidays, I wanted to just check in. I think it’s important for him and the kids to feel some level of support. It’s got to be very difficult. I have not had, like, direct communication with [Jen] but I did send her a letter,” Marks shared, at the time noting that she had not heard back from Jen.
Jen & Sharrieff Shah Deny Heather Gay’s Book Claims
Jen and Sharrieff both come up in RHOSLC star Heather Gay’s second book, “Good Time Girl”. Us Weekly shared a snippet from Gay’s book in November 27, which discussed her relationship with RHOSLC season 4 cast member Monica Garcia. In the snippet, Gay alleges that Garcia claimed Sharrieff tried to kiss her, though this claim has been refuted by both Garcia and the Shahs.
“To clarify, I have never said that Sharrieff Shah and I kissed nor has there ever been anything romantic or physical between Sharrieff and I. To so carelessly write such untrue and damaging allegations in permanent ink at the expense of others for financial gain is deplorable,” Garcia shared in a statement to Us Weekly.
The Shahs responded in a joint statement made to People, where a representative for the couple said, “We categorically deny Heather Gay and Monica’s statements. Coach Shah has never had or attempted to have a romantic relationship with Monica at any time. Both my clients Jen and Sharrieff Shah have ignored the continuous attempts for bait by Monica and others for storyline. Jen continues to remain consistent with her journey of positive rehabilitation, and will not entertain frivolous narratives from those seeking a rise from her or her family.”
