‘Real Housewives of Orange County’ Star Is Building a ‘Very Big’ New Home, But There’s a Catch

Heather Dubrow is developing a “big property” in the Midwest, but she won’t be moving there.

In an August 2025 interview,  “The Real Housewives of Orange County” star and her husband, Dr. Terry Dubrow, said they “purchased a lot of land in Idaho” and were “developing a very big property” on “many acres.”

“Not to live, though,” Dubrow told The Daily Dish, clarifying that the project would be an investment property.

The RHOC veteran admitted that her kids, Ace, Kat, and twins Nick and Max, really want a family home, and her husband noted the kids are “bugging” them about it on a daily basis.

“But I never want to see a blade of grass again. I don’t know. So, we’ll see,” Dubrow added.

Heather Dubrow First Talked About Property in Idaho in 2020

Dubrow previously dished on owning property in Idaho. During an October 2020 interview on New England Cable News’ “Realitea with Derek Z,” she said, “We actually just bought a plot of land in Idaho.”

She noted that she visited Idaho after a friend traveled there. “I’d never even been to that corner of the world,” Dubrow said, per People magazine. “So I had this lake house fantasy, and I dragged Terry there, leather jacket and all, which he never took off the entire time in the summer at the lake. And I fell in love, and I’m designing a house right now.”

In July 2024, Dubrow and her family posed in front of a home in Idaho as they celebrated the Fourth of July in the  Gem State.  “All smiles spending the 4th in the Ho (Idaho!!!) with the family!! ❤️🤍💙,” she captioned the post.

Heather Dubrow  Bought Properties in Beverly Hills & Los Angeles After Selling Her Iconic Newport Beach Home

The Dubrows once lived in an iconic Newport Beach mansion dubbed “Dubrow Chateau.”

In 2022, Dubrow told Entertainment Tonight why she sold the 22,000-square-foot mansion for $55 million. “With two kids at college, we’ve been thinking about our next move. We just bought a cool penthouse in L.A., and sometimes the universe shows you the right direction. Change is exciting!” she said at the time.

She later clarified that the $14 million penthouse would be an investment property until all of her kids were moved out. “We didn’t actually move there, we bought a place there and that’s supposed to be a place for me and Terry to live someday, like when the kids leave,” she told The Wrap in 2023. “We are actually still living in Orange County. Our kids go to school there.”

Dubrow posted from the penthouse in June after changing out the carpeting.

Heather Dubrow Sold Her Beverly Hills Home With an ‘MDLA’ Realtor

The Dubrows also bought a Beverly Hills mansion with plans to renovate it. They listed the place for sale just two years later, utilizing “Million Dollar Los Angeles” agents Josh Flagg, Josh Altman, and Matt Altman to sell the 90210 home, which they purchased in 2023.

According to TMZ, the 9,000-square-foot estate sold in August 2025 for $16.5 million after originally being listed for $25 million. Flagg confirmed the sale in an Instagram post.
