“Real Housewives of New York City” alum Dorinda Medley says she would return to the series if asked.
During the January 27 episode of Bravo personalities Tamra Judge and Teddi Mellencamp‘s podcast “Two Ts In a Pod,” Medley referenced that she was let go from the Bravo series in 2020. She also noted that the show was completely rebooted with a new cast in 2024.
In addition, Medley expressed gratitude to NBC Universal as she appeared in several of the network’s shows after her RHONY departure.
“The great thing about NBC is that they do re-visit you. I’ve done a couple ‘Ultimate Girls Trips.’ And I just did ‘Traitors.’ And that’s enough now for me,” said Medley during the interview.
She also said she would be willing to film RHONY again.
“Listen, I was just on the phone with someone that said, ‘If they asked you to go back to ‘New York,’ would you go back?’ And I said, ‘Sure why not,'” said Medley.
Medley also said she “bawled [her] eyes out” when she was “put on pause” following RHONY season 12. She explained that she was not used to being fired.
“I don’t get fired. I was the woman who was always Employee of the Month,” said Medley.
Dorinda Medley Has a New Show in the Works
In August 2024, Deadline reported that Medley has a show revolving around her property Blue Stone Manor, which was a popular location on RHONY, in development with Bravo.
Medley gave an update about the project during a January 2025 appearance on “The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon.”
“I’m hoping cameras are up soon. Yes, it’s a work in motion. And I think it’s needed. I mean Blue Stone Manor is like the Disney of Bravo, really,” said Medley.
Dorinda Medley Opened up About Facing Criticism During Her Time on RHONY
During a January 2025 episode of “Bravo’s Hot Mic” podcast, Medley discussed facing criticism during her time on RHONY. She said she was not warned that she would receive backlash from viewers when she joined the series in 2015.
“No one tells you that — as they build you up the mountain, you always got to go back down the mountain. And the down part is where you really have to buckle up,” said Medley during the podcast interview.
She also said she “found it fascinating that people really take everything so literally” when it comes to Bravo stars’ actions on their respective shows.
“One bad mistake becomes a blanket for your whole life,” said Medley.
