Former “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Denise Richards is on the new season of “Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test.” The show enlists celebrities and puts them through military-style drills to test their physical and mental abilities.
“It was an opportunity to do something I’ve never done before, very challenging and completely out of my comfort zone,” Richards told E! News. “It’s unlike anything I’ve ever done and I was scared to death to do it. I actually passed on season two because I saw season one and I said ‘there’s no way.’ And then grateful they asked me for season three, but it was challenging,” she continued.
Richards also told the outlet that her kids were worried when she told them that she’d inked a deal to do the show.
“My daughters were terrified. They did not want me to do it. They that I was maybe not gonna make it home,” she told the outlet. Richards is mom to Sami, 20, Lola, 19, and Eloise, 13.

“What an awesome job you did Denise, you crushed it,” one person wrote.

Denise Richards Shared Some Personal Details on the Premiere
Digging in the very first day, Richards opened up about past experiences that changed her life.
“I really want to learn how to not be overwhelmed by fear. I’ve been through traumatic situations that have been very terrifying for me. I want to learn how to deal with those issues and be stronger,” she said on the show, per People magazine.
At one point, the Directing Staff (DS) noted that Richards “froze” during an exercise.
“I’m completely overcome by certain fearful situations, and I want to learn how to stay calm and do something,” she explained.
She opened up about being sexually assaulted at age 15 and said that she “froze” when it happened.
“It’s so scary to have that situation, you know, that age and be so vulnerable. And I have three daughters, and I want them to be able to never go through that. And also, if something, God forbid, happen to be strong enough,” Richards said.
Despite possibly being on the verge of an emotional breakthrough, Richards ultimately decided that the show wasn’t a good fit for her. She removed her armband and was eliminated.
