Bozoma Saint John opened up about her strained relationship with Kyle Richards this season on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.” The season 14 newcomer quickly befriended Dorit Kemsley when she joined the cast, but her friendship with Richards has been slower to form.
Speaking with Page Six’s “Virtual Reali-Tea” in February 2025, Saint John said Richards didn’t open up to her about her marital separation the way Kemsley did during their first meeting. She also noted that Richards appears to be jealous of her friendship with the Beverly Beach founder.
“Instead of it being a competition about who I’m friends with, it’s like, ‘Look, if you want me to be your friend, I can be your friend,” Saint John said. “But that means you got to tell me what’s going on. It is that. I don’t know any way to help you because you haven’t told me anything. It’s really as simple as that.”
Saint John added, “It’s not that like, ‘Oh well, let me go over here and help this person, because I like them better.’ It is that I don’t know any way to help you because you haven’t told me anything.”
When Saint John made her first RHOBH appearance at Sutton Stracke’s Surrealism Ball last spring, Kemsley immediately opened up to her about her separation from her husband, PK. Richards has not been as forthcoming about the reasons for her separation from Mauricio Umansky. During the season 13 reunion, the RHOBH OG said the reason for her split was “nobody’s [expletive] business.”

EntertainmentNow/BravoRichards has said she shared a lot already. During a February 4 appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” she noted that her co-stars don’t all realize “how much” she has shared over the past 14 years on the Bravo reality show.
“Between my having two siblings on the show, and what I’m going through with my separation. Even having that conversation which is very painful with my children last year. I’ve shared so much,” she said.

Like most of the other cast members, Saint John sided with Kemsley when it was revealed that Richards was still texting Dorit’s estranged husband PK following their split. Saint John went so far as to ask Richards to show her the texts, which Richards claimed were just “memes and jokes.”
Saint John also questioned Richards’ character and told her sister Kathy Hilton that she seemed “cold” to her.
During her WWHL appearance, Richards admitted she was hurt by Saint John’s comments. “That was very interesting,” Richards said. “It actually hurt my feelings because I had a completely different experience. I had a great conversation with her at her home and we had texted each other so many times and I was really excited to have her be a part of the show.”
“I was really surprised to see that, actually, and especially talking to my sister about it,” the RHOBH star added.
