Daughter Reveals She Helps Keep ‘Housewives’ Star Mom Afloat

Ariana Biermann, daughter of former “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Kim Zolciak, is opening up about their family’s finances. During an appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” the “Next Gen NYC” star revealed that she’s been helping her mom out with money amid Zolciak’s divorce from Kroy Biermann.

“The only time my mom asks me for money is if it’s regarding the bills or it’s something that she needs for the kids, and then she pays me back when she can,” Biermann told host Andy Cohen. She also shut down a question about Zolciak’s rumored gambling issues, saying, “No. Not talking about that.” 

Biermann Has Been Open About Money Issues

Biermann recently stopped by her pal Gia Guidice’s podcast, “Casual Chaos,” where she chatted a bit about the money issues within her family. She revealed that her mom had once  gifted her Chanel bags, but they were purchased with Biermann’s own money. 

“My mom has got them for me for Christmas, with, apparently, my money. But I just didn’t know, so I guess I did buy one, I just was unaware of it,” Biermann revealed. She also told her “Next Gen NYC” co-star that her sister, Brielle, is the one in the family with the expensive taste. 

“I was shopping at Shein,” Biermann explained about her own modest spending habits. “You can make anything great! The outfit I wore to the premiere [of ‘Next Gen NYC’] was $200 all around …”

Has Money Caused a Rift Between Biermann and Her Mom?

While Biermann was honest during her “WWHL” appearance about helping her mom out and even her mom taking money from her in the past, she was not holding any grudges.

“My mom, no matter what, will be my best friend forever,” Biermann shared. “Money should never ruin a relationship with your family.” She continued, “You can always make more money, God blesses us in that way … I have my mom and that’s all that matters.” 

As for Biermann’s relationship with Kroy at the moment, Biermann had sort of a wry response: “It depends on what motion he’s filing amid this insane divorce this week.” 

Kroy legally adopted Biermann and her older sister, Brielle, in 2013, and Biermann expressed that he will always be her dad. “… it’s just a tough situation right now … a lot of these things are just coming from more anger and nothing else,” she said of her parents’ contentious divorce.
