Andy Cohen said fans shouldn’t expect to hear the status of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” any time soon.
Speaking with Us Weekly on December 16, the Bravo producer hinted that the show’s “pause” could remain in effect for many more months. In fact, Cohen insinuated that it could be 2026 before an official announcement is made about the show.
When asked for an update on RHONJ, Cohen said, “You’re not gonna get it for, like, a year, so everyone stop asking. And I keep saying you are going to get nothing, so stop asking!”
Following a volatile 14th season for the feuding RHONJ cast, Bravo made the decision to halt production on the long-running reality show.
An insider told The Daily Mail the show was “on ice” until at least 2025, but Cohen’s update suggests a much longer break than originally expected.
The 14th season of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” starred Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, Margaret Josephs, Dolores Catania, Jennifer Aydin, Danielle Cabral, and Rachel Fuda, as well as “friends” Jackie Goldschneider and Jennifer Fessler.
Andy Cohen Previously Said No Decisions Would Be Made Before Year’s End

This is not the first time Cohen has said RHONJ won’t be back any time soon. In June, he told Entertainment Tonight, “No decisions have been made.”
“We haven’t even had any serious conversations about next season, so anything you read about what Jersey’s gonna be for next season for the next, I would say six months, is fake, so don’t believe it,” he added at the time.
In a November 2024 interview with People magazine, Cohen further explained that it was “smart business” to put certain Housewives shows on a break. “We have a lot of Housewives going right now,” he said. “And it’s one of the reasons it took so long to get ‘The Real Housewives of Atlanta’ going, and one of the reasons we’re in a deep pause with ‘The Real Housewives of New Jersey.’ We just want to make sure we get everything right and be very deliberate with everything we’re doing. … We love these shows, we all want to get it right.”
“We are taking our time. We are in no rush,” he told Deadline in November.
Some RHONJ Cast Members Are Ready for Closure

Several longtime RHONJ cast members have been outspoken about the pause.
“We’re on pause. We needed a change because, obviously, it couldn’t continue the way it was going,” Teresa Giudice admitted on the December 4 episode of the “Give Them Lala” podcast. “It’s gotten really dirty and disgusting.”
Dolores Catania told Us Weekly she misses filming with her friends. “There is nothing, no different,” Catania said when asked if she heard anything about her status on RHONJ. “We would have filmed already, you know, like usually it’s May, June, July, August. Sometimes we film, we filmed up until November at one time. But they told us basically nothing in this year would we hear. We didn’t film, so if we didn’t film then we wouldn’t be airing coming up in 2025. So, it’s sad to me, it’s like I feel like it’s a breakup. It’s horrible to me.”
And Jackie Goldschneider told In Touch Weekly, “You know what? The break has been nice, but I’m ready to know what’s going on. You know, it’s just so I could either get excited or have closure. Either way. I’m fine. I just want to know.”
