Bravo producer Andy Cohen says he is in a better place with former “Real Housewives of New York City” star Carole Radziwill.
While speaking to People magazine during the Bravo Fan Fest, held on November 23, Cohen said that he and Radziwill had a positive reunion, despite their past issues.
“Carole and I reconnected recently, actually,” said Cohen during the People interview. “It feels great.”
Cohen then explained that Radziwill had been in his circle of friends prior to filming RHONY.
“Carole and I knew each other for years, before she was ever on the Housewives — for many years. I think I’ve known her more outside of the Housewives than I have in the Housewives. So it was definitely good to reconnect,” said Cohen to the publication.
People magazine reported that Radziwill also discussed mending her relationship with Cohen.
“We both came to understand that our disagreements had everything to do with the high-pressure nature of the show and very little to do with our friendship, which proceeded it. Andy and I are very much on the same page now, and I’m happy about that,” said Radziwill to People.
Carole Radziwill Was Unhappy With Andy Cohen Following the RHONY Season 10 Reunion
People magazine reported that Radziwill took issue with Cohen following the reunion for RHONY season 10. During the reunion, Radziwill shared she believed Cohen had taken her former friend Bethenny Frankel‘s side amid their feud. According to People magazine, Cohen denied Radziwill’s claim in a September 2018 episode of “Bravo’s Play by Play.” According to Cohen, he was attempting to highlight that both Radziwill and Frankel made negative comments about each other after their falling out.
In addition, Cohen alleged that Radziwill was the anonymous source who told New York Magazine in June 2024 about starring on RHONY and Cohen’s baby shower while recording a June 2024 episode of his radio show, “Andy Cohen Live.” Cohen said that the New York Magazine comments were “mean” and “so weird,” as reported by People.
“I was, like, ‘Carole has said a lot of unkind things about me that she has tweeted and been quoted about.’ So, I was like, ‘Why are you going off the record here?’ It’s so weird to me, I didn’t understand,” said Cohen on his radio show.
According to People magazine, Radziwill replied to Cohen’s “Andy Cohen Live” comments in a June 11 X post.
“Hey Carole here 🙋🏼♀️ Someone can make a truthful observation & there’s always one short-ish dude waiting to be offended. At this point why would any normal person use their name? They’re all so vindictive which I believe is the point of the quote& confirmed by Andy’s nasty response 🙈,” wrote Radziwill.
Carole Radziwill Explained Why She Wanted to Join RHONY in 2011
During an August 2023 interview on Heather McDonald’s podcast, “Juicy Scoop,” Radziwill explained her decision to join RHONY during its 5th season. She shared that she had not watched the show before she agreed to start filming it. Radziwill explained that she “knew Andy a bit through friends” and was familiar with his talk show “Watch What Happens Live.”
“It seemed like a really funny, weird thing to do,” said Radziwill.
In addition, the writer said she hoped her presence on the Bravo series would help her “sell books.”
Carole Radziwill Discussed Her RHONY Exit in 2021
While recording the August 2023 “Juicy Scoop” episode, Radziwill said filming RHONY was difficult.
“It did hurt me. To be in an environment for six years, and there’s a lot of gaslighting, a lot of pathological lying, all this misinformation and mind-[expletive] and it does get to you,” said Radziwill.
Radziwill discussed her RHONY exit in a November 2021 “Behind The Velvet Rope” podcast episode. She said she believed Bravo may have chosen to end her contract because of her issues with Frankel.
“Even though Bravo never said that to me, obviously, they wouldn’t. But I always felt like, ‘Oh I got it. If you have to pick one, it’s definitely not going to be me,'” said Radziwill.
In addition, she said she had issues with her castmates and the show’s producers. She said, however, that she might have continued filming the series if she and Bravo executives were able to “come to some kind of agreement, just for the money.”
