Olivia Culpo Was Miss Universe Before She Was Mrs. Christian McCaffrey

Since winning, Culpo dipped her toe into the acting world, appearing in 2014’s “The Other Woman” and 2018’s “I Feel Pretty.” She also starred in the series “Model Squad” that same year and “Paradise City” in 2021. In 2020, Culpo landed the honor of being on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Addition.
Amid her burgeoning career was the start of her relationship with Christian McCaffery. According to People, the spark first ignited in 2019 when the NFL star liked a photo Culpo posted to her Instagram. It was only a few months later the two were spotted taking a vacation to Mexico together. At the time, McCaffrey was playing for the Caroline Panthers, where Culpo quickly became a staple in the stands. They went Instagram official in November 2019.
Throughout their relationship, the pair has also continued to be each other’s biggest fans. When McCaffey was traded to the San Francisco 49ers back in 2022, she shared her excitement on Instagram.
“I’m so proud of you Christian! Seeing your light shine is one of my favorite things in life and I’m beyond excited and grateful for this next chapter in Cali,” Culpo wrote. “Niners Nation, let’s go!”
As for McCaffrey, he has also taken to social media to defend Culpo from trolls.
“1. Won Miss Universe on her own 2. World class musician 3. Self-made millionaire 4. Actress 5. Model 6. On the board of multiple charities 7. Owns a restaurant 8. Owns multiple properties … She doesn’t need my money bubbs,” he responded to a rude comment.
Culpo and McCaffrey Announce They Are Having A Baby
On April 17, 2023, while vacationing at Amangiri in Utah, the running back got down on one knee and proposed to Culpo. She said yes, and the couple let the world know, of course, on social media. A little over a year later, in June 2024, the couple tied the knot in a chapel in Rhode Island.
Fast-forward another year, and the couple has announced they are officially expecting. They shared the news via Instagram: “Next chapter, motherhood.” Culpo captioned the post, which contained black-and-white photographs from her maternity shoot.
In the first photo, Culpo is seen sporting a flowery dress while she kneels with a hand placed under her belly. In the second photo, she is turned towards the camera with her hand on her hip.
According to People, Culpo’s pregnancy wasn’t unexpected—at least, not to the couple. Several months before they tied the knot, Culpo explained her desire for children and even went on to say that they would “start trying immediately” after they got married. Congrats to the happy couple!
