Two years ago, according to LinkDex, consumers spent more than $18.9 billion on the special day of love, which increased from $17.3 billion the previous year. The outlet also reports that the average person is expected to spend $142.31 on Valentine’s Day gifts like candy, flowers, and jewelry.
