Helena Bonham Carter and Tim Burton’s daughter made a rare appearance on the red carpet!
Nell Burton was with her actress mom while attending the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition Preview Party in London on Wednesday, June 11.
She wore a bright pink V-neck dress that had a few flowers on the short ruffled sleeves. She finished the look with a white bag and some light pink booties.
Bonham Carter & Burton Stay Away From the Spotlight
The 17-year-old is rarely seen as her parents are notoriously private.
While Nell Burton made an appearance at the Burlington House, her older brother Billy Raymond was not present.
In December 2003, Bonham Carter shared how it was becoming a first time mom only a couple months earlier.
“It’s like an explosion of heart, love, everything – and it’s extraordinary,” she told the Irish Examiner.
“It’s changed everything,” she added at the time. “Everybody told me it would and of course, I didn’t really listen, and there’s no real way of describing it.”
She mentioned how while becoming a mom was difficult, she wouldn’t change it at all.
“I’m in the early days of motherhood at the moment and I am very obviously breast-feeding, so I live from feed to feed. It is all-consuming – but I wouldn’t ever try to put the baby back,” she concluded.
Bonham Carter & Burton Relationship Timeline
The “Pee-wee’s Big Adventure” director met the actress while filming the 2001 sci-fi “Planet of the Apes.”
Over the course of their relationship, the two frequently collaborated.
Their films include “Big Fish” (2003), “Corpse Bride” (2005), “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street” (2007) and “Alice in Wonderland” (2010). All of the films were directed by Burton, as Bonham Carter acted in each one.
The two ended up parting ways in 2014. After the split, the Academy Award nominated actress commented on the relationship ending while speaking with U.K.’s Red Magazine.
“Our relationship was always somewhat special, and I think it’ll always remain special. We did find each other,” she began.
Bonham Carter added that while the two may not be together, the relationship was a gift in many ways.
“And really, the mark of a successful relationship shouldn’t be whether you’re there forever after. Sometimes you’re not meant to be forever together,” she continued. “Sometimes you have to come to terms with the fact that that was it. But that was a gift, a massive gift. We gave each other children and a lot more else.”
