It has begun. Peter Jackson’s first in his trilogy of prequels to The Lord of the Rings trilogy will be hitting theaters this December and the trailer looks damn epic.
An Unexpected Journey centers on young Bilbo Baggins and his quest to the Lonely Mountain to reclaim a treasure (the ring) from the dragon Smaug. The trailer promises the return appearances of probably the two most standout characters of the Rings films – Gandalf and Gollum. Just try and contain yourselves, Tolkien nerds, we’ve still got two more films to look forward to following this one.
