‘The Boys’ Just Turned Into ‘Supernatural’ 2.0 – And We’re So Here for It

The “Supernatural” family just keeps on winning! Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins are officially joining Jensen Ackles in “The Boys” Season 5, making this the ultimate reunion we’ve all been waiting for. The creator of both shows, Eric Kripke essentially said, “Let’s get the gang back together,” and honestly? We love to see it.

Fans have been manifesting this moment for years, and now it’s actually happening. It’s no secret that Kripke loves bringing “Supernatural” stars into his projects (i.e. “The Boys” already has Ackles, as well as Jim Beaver, Rob Benedict, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan), but landing both Padalecki and Collins for the final season? That’s next-level fan service.

The Reunion We Needed

Ever since Jensen Ackles debuted as Soldier Boy in “The Boys” Season 3, fans have been hoping for more “Supernatural” alums to join the chaos. And now it’s happening. Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins are stepping into “The Boys” universe for the show’s final season. We don’t know who they’re playing yet, but if Kripke’s past casting choices are anything to go by, it’s going to be wild.

This also means the Winchester brothers and their angel are officially back under the same roof. And let’s be real; no matter how big or small their roles end up being, just seeing them together again is going to be everything. Their chemistry is unmatched, their banter is legendary, and their reunion in a show as unapologetically insane as “The Boys” is just… chef’s kiss.

“The Boys” Final Season Just Leveled Up

This reveal came with a video that’s peak “Supernatural” energy. In it, Ackles looks at the camera and says, “Hey, Jared. We got work to do… again.” That’s all it takes for Padalecki to be in, and when he says, “Okay. I’ll tell Misha,” you know the fandom collectively lost it. It’s the kind of chaotic, self-aware moment that only these three could pull off.

Accompanying the video were the words, “Season 5 just got a bit more supernatural.” The fans obviously reacted big. And in a slew of different ways ranging from one expressing joy, “My little SPN heart is so full ❤️” to others cracking “Supernatural” themed jokes saying, “The road so far…” and “LFG! Homelander better turn into a Striga or leviathan.”

The End of an Era… Again

With this being the final season of “The Boys,” bringing these three back together feels like the perfect way to send the show off with a bang. We have no clue what kind of characters Padalecki and Collins will be playing, but does it even matter? They could show up for two minutes, and it would still be legendary.

What makes this even better is the fact that these three actors love working together. After 15 seasons of “Supernatural,” their dynamic is practically second nature, and you know they’re going to bring that same energy to “The Boys.” Whether they’re allies, enemies, or something in between, we’re in for an unforgettable ride.

While we wait for news on an expected release date, fans can catch up on “The Boys” via Amazon Prime Video.
