Will The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Return for Season 3?

Season 2 of “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” dropped with drama, cliffhangers, and a lot of confusion. While Hulu originally ordered 20 episodes, fans only got 10—leaving many wondering what’s next. As of now, the streamer hasn’t officially confirmed season 3. But there’s good news: the back half of the season is reportedly in production, and cast members are already teasing what’s to come.

10 More Episodes Are Coming of ‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’…But When?

According to The Hollywood Reporter, production is underway for the remaining 10 episodes that were part of Hulu’s 20-episode renewal back in October 2024. Viewers were quick to spot the discrepancy, with many taking to TikTok and X to ask why the season ended so abruptly. Episode 10 even ended with a “To be continued” message, fueling speculation that season 2 was split in two.

Popular TikToker @rivrealityy shared receipts, reminding followers that the full episode count had been confirmed months earlier. “I need the rest of the 10 after the 10th episode bc OMG,” one fan commented. Another wrote, “Yea because that ending was not it. I’m not waiting a whole other year after that cliffhanger.”

The fan theories seem to align with industry chatter. If production wrapped in early 2025, a late summer or early fall release for the next batch seems likely—possibly as season 3, or the second part of season 2.

‘SLMW’ Cast Teases Closure and More Drama

While Hulu hasn’t confirmed a premiere date or format for the final episodes, the cast is hinting at what’s to come. Speaking with People newbie Miranda McWhorter said fans can expect “answers and maybe a little bit of closure.” Co-star Layla Taylor added, “But we don’t want to get fired so we can’t give you much more.”

Still, fans can expect plenty of unresolved drama to resurface. The fallout between Demi Engemann and Taylor Frankie Paul’s mom, Liann, is still hanging in the air. Jessi Ngatikaura’s rumored infidelity could have major repercussions. Jen Affleck’s break from filming for mental and physical health reasons adds another layer of uncertainty. And with three pregnancies in the cast—Mikayla Matthews, Mayci Neeley, and Affleck—all due by summer, viewers may get a glimpse into their postpartum journeys.

As for Whitney Leavitt, her sights may be set beyond MomTok. In a recent Vulture interview, she revealed she’s serious about pursuing acting. “I feel like people don’t take it seriously,” she said. “But it was the same thing as social media… And then I did it.”

With fan-favorite Frankie Paul, along with most of the cast likely to return, the core of the group appears intact. However, with shifting friendships, career goals, and the prospect of new motherhood on the horizon, the dynamic could change rapidly.
