Ryan Reynolds took a swipe at Martha Stewart after the lifestyle icon declared that he isn’t really that funny in real life.

According to People, she brought up Reynolds when she appeared on Bilt Ewards November “Rent Free” game show. Stewart was asked which celebrity was the most fun to hang out with.

“He’s probably on the list just ‘cause he covers himself up in his movies and you don’t see his face — Ryan Reynolds, is he one of those?” Stewart ruminated. But then she said, “And you want to know something? He’s not so funny in real life. No, he’s not so funny. He’s very serious.”

Reynolds wasn’t hesitant to join the fray, responding Stewart with a zing of his own on his X page.

According to People, Reynolds and Stewart know each other because they are neighbors in New York.

“”I’d disagree with her. But I tried that once,” Reynolds wrote on X. “The woman is unexpectedly spry. She really closed the gap after a mile or so.” Reynolds is well-known for her sarcastic trolls on his X and Instagram pages.

Fans enjoyed the retort, according to the comments they left under his X post. “There was a rooster involved, wasn’t there. She looks like the type to have a rooster,” a person joked.

“I’d like to hang out with those guys,” she said on the game show, according to People.

The host brought up popstar Taylor Swift, and Stewart indicated that she has positive feelings about Swift too. “I was only thinking men. Taylor Swift is lovely,” she said on the show, according to People Magazine.
