Reese Witherspoon’s daughter has posted a touching tribute for her mom’s birthday.
The post is no longer visible, but Ava Phillippe shared the tribute to her Instagram story on March 22.
According to People, Phillippe shared a throwback photo showing her as a child with Witherspoon.
Phillippe is Witherspoon’s daughter with her ex-husband actor Ryan Phillippe.

The throwback picture showed Phillippe hugging Witherspoon, People reported. The photo shows Phillippe as a toddler, as the two hugged each other on a leaf-strewn lawn.
Phillippe also shared a photo of Witherspoon with an espresso martini, along with the song “Isn’t She Lovely” playing, People noted.
The mother and daughter bear a close resemblance. According to People, Witherspoon turned 49-years-old.

On March 8, Phillippe again praised her mom, sharing a photo with her mom and grandmother.
“Happy #InternationalWomensDay !! Feeling extra grateful today for the women in my life & the profound connections, inspiration, love, & wisdom we share with one another. 🩷♀” she wrote with that post, which also included a collage of photos showing other women in her life.
Witherspoon also took to her Instagram page to thank people for wishing her a happy birthday. “Thank you for all the wonderful birthday wishes! 💗🥹” she wrote.
According to Page Six, Witherspoon and Ryan Phillippe were married for nine years and had two kids together, Ava and her brother Deacon.
Witherspoon then had a second son named Tennessee with her second husband, Jim Toth. That marriage also ended in divorce, Page Six reported.
Toth and Witherspoon were together for 12 years but announced they had split in 2023, according to Page Six.
“We have enjoyed so many wonderful years together and are moving forward with deep love, kindness, and mutual respect for everything we have created together,” Toth and Witherspoon wrote in a statement, according to Page Six.
In August 2024, Witherspoon was spotted out to dinner with a financier, but People reported they are just friends. “She enjoys it but doesn’t want it to be a big focus. She’s busy with work and her son,” a source told People at that time. “These are her biggest priorities.”
