The sons of legendary actors Jack Nicholson and Dennis Quaid are teaming up for a new movie.
According to USA Today, Ray Nicholson plays a “sociopathic bank robber opposite Jack Quaid’s hero-who-can’t-feel-pain” in the movie “Novocaine.”
“I could care less whether people think I’m a great actor or not. I want to be engaging and entertaining,” Nicholson told USA Today. “Ultimately, it’s a service position. You want people to enjoy what you’re doing.”
Quaid’s son Jack Quaid recently starred in the movie “Companion.”

He told the publication that Nicholson can “turn his psycho on at the drop of a hat.”
“For me, my biggest obstacle is always myself,” Nicholson told USA Today. “But once I break through, I have unlimited energy.”
He added of his dad and mom Rebecca Broussard, “My dad is this larger-than-life person, and my mom’s someone that came from a trailer park in Henderson, Kentucky. She taught me how to be a human and how to have a heart.”
Ray Nicholson told People that he didn’t always want to be an actor. “I wanted to be an astronaut, and then maybe a sports agent,” Nicholson told People.
“I later realized that, yeah, deep down I’d always wanted to do this.”
Dennis Quaid Says His Son ‘Is Just Getting Started’
GettyDennis Quaid expressed happiness in an interview with People about “Novocaine” hitting number one at the box office.
“I just talked to him last night. His movie’s no. 1. I mean, that’s incredible, really great,” said Quaid to People. “He certainly deserves it. He’s just getting started. You haven’t seen nothing yet when it comes to him.”
Jack is Dennis Quaid’s son with actress Meg Ryan.
On the “Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace” show, Dennis Quaid said he thinks his son might have a better acting career than he or Ryan did. On that show, Quaid revealed that he didn’t handle Ryan’s acting success very well before their divorce.
“She was ascending as I went into rehab and Meg is really such a great, sweet person and really talented and deserved all her success. But I don’t regret anything about my marriage to Meg, and we got Jack Quaid out of it who is really going on to maybe eclipse both of us,” he said on the show.
