The world is saying its final goodbye to Black Sabbath musician Ozzy Osbourne. The rock icon’s funeral procession was held on Wednesday, July 30, just over a week after his death on July 22. He was 76.

Thousands of fans came out to honor Osbourne and share what he meant to them. Crowds gathered on Birmingham’s main street, Broad Street, and down past the Black Sabbath Bridge. This is also where the hearse carrying Osbourne’s coffin passed through.
Photos from the hearse show purple flowers spelling out the word “Ozzy.”
Osbourne’s family attended the site where fans had left flowers, notes, and other memorabilia to honor the late musician. Sharon Osbourne and her children, Kelly and Jack Osbourne, were front and centre in the photos. They all wore black tailored outfits.

Sharon and Ozzy’s rarely seen daughter, Aimee Osbourne, was also in attendance. She wore a black outfit and wore her hair loose. She also wore a fascinator that had a black veil that covered her eyes.
Aimee can be seen in tears and later holding up peace signs alongside Sharon, E! News reports.

Also photographed with the family was Ozzy’s son, Louis.
Louis is the son of Ozzy and his first wife, Thelma Riley. He wore sunglasses and was dressed in a suit, a white button-down shirt, and a striking purple tie. You can see him in the background of this photo of his half-brother, Jack.

Remembering Ozzy Osbourne
The death of Osbourne has had a profound impact on many people, and the tributes for him have poured in since his family first announced his passing.
“It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning,” the family said in a statement, Variety reports. “He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.”
One of the most private members of the family is Aimee. She chose to opt out of filming her family’s MTV reality TV show, “The Osbournes.” The series ran from 2002 to 2005.
Aimee has previously discussed her decision to stay out of the limelight. “For me, I had grown up around having a pretty well-known dad anyway, and … I always really valued my privacy within that family,” Aimée told New York’s Q1043 radio, People reports.
She continued, “And for me personally, and for who I am, you know, as far as morally and also just to give myself a chance to actually develop into a human being as opposed to just being remembered for being a teenager, it didn’t really line up with what I saw my future as. It definitely worked great for the rest of my family, but for me, and who I am, I just knew it was never something that I would have been able to consider realistically.”
