‘Now You See Me 3’ Trailer Delivers on Sleight of Hype

Magic is all around us. And if you don’t pay attention, you might just miss it.

Movie studio Lionsgate wants to make sure nobody misses out on the magic they have planned for the upcoming heist film “Now You See Me: Now You Don’t.”

That’s right; the Four Horsemen are back and ready to take on their most daring plan yet when the movie releases later this fall.

Modern Day Prestige

Starring Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco, Isla Fisher, and Morgan Freeman, “Now You See Me: Now You Don’t” will see the crew try to steal a diamond. Viewers should expect the twists and turns that come with the franchise.

Justice Smith, Dominic Sessa, Ariana Greenblatt, and Rosamund Pike join the cast this time around. No word yet on the return of Mark Ruffalo, who starred in the first two movies.

Production for this third entry took place in Budapest as well as Belgium throughout 2024. Writing duties were shared among Seth Grahame-Smith, Michael Lesslie, and “Deadpool & Wolverine” duo Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese.

You Can Do Magic

Reuben Fleischer takes over directing duties from Jon M. Chu, who directed the second entry, and the first movie’s Louis Leterrier.

Fleischer is known for running the “Zombieland” series, the first two “Venom” movies and the video game adaptation “Uncharted,” which starred Tom Holland alongside Mark Whalberg.

The first two movies in the “Now You See Me” franchise did well at the box office. A fourth movie is said to be in the works already as well, according to chair of Lionsgate Motion Picture Group Adam Fogelson. The announcement came during the 2025 CinemaCon.

Fleischer is already set to come back for the fourth movie, telling CinemaCon fans: “‘Directing Now You See Me: Now You Don’t’ was as much fun as making any movie in my career. It combines two of my favorite things — heist movies and magic — and working with this incredible cast was truly magical. Of course I want to keep it going.”

Additionally, a Chinese spinoff of the franchise is also in the works.

“Now You See Me: Now You Don’t” releases in theaters November 14.
