“Masters of the Universe” has officially wrapped production, and Nicholas Galitzine is celebrating the milestone with an exciting first look at his transformation into He-Man.
On June 15, the “Purple Hearts” star shared a glimpse of his iconic character on Instagram, sending fans into a frenzy. In the photo, Galitzine posed with his back to the camera, showing off his sculpted physique in the unmistakable He-Man costume.
While the dramatic lighting may have hidden the full reveal, fans can already tell that the actor nailed the character.
Galitzine captioned the post:
Well, that’s a wrap on ‘Masters of the Universe.’ It has been an honour shouldering the responsibility of playing Adam and He-Man. It’s been the role of a lifetime and I put everything into it. There’s not much I can show you, but I am so proud of the movie we’ve made. Thanks to our amazing cast and crew for all your hard work.
Nicholas Galitzine Bulks Up for His Role as He-Man
Galitzine first announced his He-Man casting in May 2024. At the time, the actor shared a side-by-side comparison of himself and the iconic comic book character.
“By the Power of Greyskull, I HAVE THE POWER!” Galitzine captioned the Instagram post. “I’m so beyond proud to announce that I will be playing Adam, Prince of Eternia in ‘Masters of the Universe.’ It has been a dream for so long to play someone of his heart, humor and heroism, I cannot wait to get started.”
In preparation for his new role, Galitzine has been working on his physique, bulking up to fully embody the character. His “Masters of the Universe” co-star Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson teased Galitzine’s impressive transformation for the role.
“I was with him in London last week,” Jóhannesson revealed in an interview with Variety in February. “We’re doing fittings and filming is about to start. And I mean, he is looking like a beast. He’s not showing you everything.”
In a recent Instagram post, Galitzine shared a glimpse of the intense training he’s undergone for the role. Aside from packing on muscle, the ” Red, White & Royal Blue” actor also trained extensively in sword fighting to fully step into the role.
Fans React to Galitzine as He-Man
Galitzine’s new role as He-Man quickly gained attention online, with some impressed with his transformation.
One fan excitedly wrote, “People of Eternia, get ready!” while another chimed in, “You’ve got the power.”
Another gushed about the actor’s physique, “Those arms about to make history,” while another noted, “You’re huge! Can’t wait to watch the movie!”
“Masters of the Universe” also stars Jared Leto (Skeletor), Sam C. Wilson (Trap Jaw), Kojo Attah (Tri-Klops), Hafthor Bjornsson (Goat Man), and Camila Mendes (Teela). The film is slated to premiere on June 5, 2026.
