Naomi Watts’ heart is full. The actress is celebrating her firstborn, Sasha, turning 18, a milestone she calls both beautiful and surreal. On Friday, July 25, the Mulholland Drive star shared a heartfelt tribute on Instagram to celebrate Sasha’s 18th birthday.

“Happy birthday sweet, darling @sashapeteschreiber 18 today—and ready for the world! Cannot believe it.😊😭,” Watts wrote. “Have so loved watching you grow into the kindest, most wonderful young man. Thank you for making me a first time mum. ♥️.”

Daughter Kai Shares a Throwback Tribute

Watts & Schreiber Reunited for Sasha’s Graduation
Just a month earlier, Watts and Schreiber reunited to celebrate Sasha’s high school graduation. In a blended family moment, they posed together with their respective spouses and their son in a touching photo shared on Schreiber’s Instagram.
Watts wore a colorful maxi dress and straw hat, standing with husband Billy Crudup next to Sasha. On the other side, Schreiber, holding a vintage film camera, stood beside his wife, Taylor Neisen.
Sasha was centered between the two families, dressed in a sharp gray suit and tan shoes.
Naomi’s Daughter Kai Opens Up About Her Runway Dreams
Watts & Schreiber’s daughter Kai is also making headlines of her own. The 16-year-old recently revealed her fashion aspirations in an Interview Magazine feature published June 11.
“I want to be a supermodel. Period,” Kai shared. “I’ve been practicing my walks in the kitchen for years; my mom can show you all the videos I forced her to film.”
She also spoke candidly about how her identity shaped her dreams. “Struggling with gender identity from a young age most likely had something to do with it,” Kai said. “I always wanted to grow up and be a beautiful, glamorous, influential woman, like Marilyn [Monroe].”
Earlier this year, Kai made her runway debut with Valentino during Paris Fashion Week—a defining moment for the rising star. “That job made me realize, ‘Okay, this is what I want to do,’” she added.
