While all eyes were on Kai during her big moment, Watts, 56, was seen in the audience smiling proudly. Fashion journalist Derek Blasberg captured the heartwarming moment on Instagram Stories, writing: “Show me a proud mother than @naomiwatts watching her daughter @kaischreiberrr at the Celine Show.” Watts shared the clip on her own Instagram Stories, echoing the pride and joy she felt.

Kai Schreiber Opens Up About Gender Identity & Her Path to Modeling

In a June interview with Interview Magazine, she shared how fashion became a meaningful outlet: “Struggling with gender identity from a young age most likely had something to do with it,” she explained.
“I always wanted to grow up and be a beautiful, glamorous, influential woman, like Marilyn [Monroe].” She also revealed that modeling was something she’s been preparing for her entire life: “I’ve been practicing my walks in the kitchen for years; my mom can show you all the videos I forced her to film.”

Despite the breakup, Watts and Schreiber have remained close co-parents. They’ve attended family events together, including Kai’s middle school graduation in 2022 and a fun TikTok video with their kids in 2020. Both have since remarried — Watts to Billy Crudup and Schreiber to Taylor Neisen.
In a 2020 interview with Hamptons magazine, Watts spoke candidly about juggling her acting career and being a mom.“Sometimes you feel like you’re a supermom — baking cake, playing board games, teaching them how to use the vacuum cleaner,” she said. “Other times, you’re like, ‘Oh God, just let me hand them the devices so I can get things done,’ you know?”
