Motivational speaker and social media kindness advocate Monica Lewinsky appeared on the February 25, 2025 episode of Alex Cooper’s podcast, “Call Her Daddy.”
Lewinsky celebrated the appearance by posting a screenshot of the interview to her Instagram Stories with the caption, “I did the podcast of podcasts!” She also shared a special message for Cooper, saying, “I adore @alexandracooper and respect what she’s built w/ @callherdaddy! Go get ’em, girl!”
Lewinsky is a former White House intern who overcame past PR struggles to build a strongly positive brand and media career.
Lewinsky’s Interview Focused On Reclaiming Her Narrative
As the interview kicked off, Cooper announced that Lewinsky was “here to reclaim her name and share her side of the story.”
Lewinsky said she was “nervous, but excited” to be on the show, sharing that she is “in a busy time” as she focuses on the launch of her own podcast.
Cooper told viewers Lewinsky’s podcast is called “Reclaiming With Monica Lewinsky” and centers on what it means to take back your name.
Lewinsky said her life and relationship with the media have improved drastically since her tough times of the past, proudly declaring, “I’m not ashamed of who I am.
She said she believes society has made strides in that, “We now have language. We have nomenclature that allows for more nuanced conversations.”
Lewinsky expressed gratitude for the way her life has changed in the last 10 years, saying, “That certainly was not a given.”
She also gave thanks for her close support system, saying, “My family’s always been amazing. I’ve always had friends, thank God.”
When Cooper asked if Lewinsky had ever wanted an apology from her harshest critics, Lewinsky said she did at first, but was able to let go of the idea “as people saw me more and more for my true self, as I was able to have agency.”
She added, “Even though I will always in some ways be defined by my history, I am also defined by my present. And that’s important.”
That present includes advocating for “a safer social media environment” and addressing topics like “digital resilience, privacy, and equality for women,” per the Family Online Safety Institute.
Lewinsky Shared Her Perspective On Dating
No “Call Her Daddy” convo would be complete without a love life update, and Lewinsky was happy to share her experiences.
She told Cooper, “I’ve always dated,” but said it hasn’t always been successful. “My dating life has been complicated, I think, at times.”
She said she is well-equipped to only spend time with genuine people, having always had a “pretty strong” detector for those who might approach her for the wrong reasons.
Lewinsky revealed that almost completely cutting out alcohol has had benefits, saying she only has “champagne on rare occasions.”
She shared a tip to help women through their struggles, encouraging viewers to “always remember that somebody is feeling the same way.”

Lewinsky Spoke On Double Standards & Admiration For Cooper
When asked about how she copes with the double standards she has dealt with, Lewinsky replied that she has focused on trying to “open up a path to rise.”
She said she wants to let other women know that “it doesn’t matter how many times you fall down, it matters how many you get up.”
The 51-year-old shared her admiration for the trailblazing podcaster, who made history in 2024 with a $125 million SiriusXM contract, per CNN.
Lewinsky gushed to Cooper, “You are pushing forward on a path in podcasting and business right up there with these men. Because of you, other women are going to be able to have successful podcasts that they can then move onto other places.”
