Stranger Things have happened, but Millie Bobby Brown is all grown up and showing a new side of herself on the cover of Vanity Fair magazine.

The magazine posted a video on its Instagram account of the photo shoot, featuring very sophisticated looks, with the caption “‘Stranger Things’ star @MillieBobbyBrown is suiting up for what’s next.”

In another Instagram post, Vanity Fair shows pictures of Brown in a black mesh dress, her shoulders draped with a long coat. Brown herself celebrated the Vanity Fair cover with a post on her Instagram account captioned “Thoroughly modern me.”

Millie Bobby Brown Prepares to Start a New Chapter

The 20-year-old is busy making a lot of grown-up decisions as she prepares to say goodbye to her “Stranger Things” character Eleven. The Netflix series’ fifth and final season is set to drop some time this year, though a release date hasn’t been announced. But Brown wrapped up shooting on the series in December.

And that’s a big change when you consider that the actress starting shooting the series when she was just 11-years-old.

But it’s only one of the big changes in Millie Bobby Brown’s life. The actress married Jon Bon Jovi’s 22-year-old son Jake Bongiovi last May.

Bongiovi is also an actor who has appeared in the comedy “Rockbottom” and the teen rom-com “Sweethearts.”

Brown tells Vanity Fair, “He is the first man I’ve ever loved and been in love with. If we’re not fully invested, then what’s the point?”

As for their youth, Brown tells Vanity Fair that she didn’t take getting married young lightly. “We were pretty united going into it,” she says of Bongiovi, whom she met through mutual friends. “We talked about our political views, what kind of family we want to build, the kind of home we want to live in, the kind of relationship we’re looking for, the kind of careers we want. It’s such an important decision, and we wanted to make sure we were making the right one. I knew I was. It always felt right with him.”

What’s Next for Millie Bobby Brown?

As she leaves Eleven and “Stranger Things” in her rearview mirror, Brown isn’t exactly looking for things to do.

In addition to starring in the Netflix film franchise “Enola Holmes,” Brown has a beauty and lifestyle brand called Florence by Mills; an animal rescue organization named Joey’s Friends, which she runs from her farm outside Atlanta and a new sci-fi movie co-starring Chris Pratt called The Electric State. Brown stars as “a spunky grunge heroine thrown into a war between robots and the humans who created them” according to Vanity Fair.

Goodbyes Are Never Easy: Brown’s Last Days on “Stranger Things” Were Tearful

Brown says the wrap on her time shooting “Stranger Things” was emotional. Brown told Vanity Fair that by the time she shot one of her last scenes, the gravity of the series coming to a close finally hit her. “It wasn’t hitting me this entire time—until yesterday,” Brown says. “I was on set, and I was like, ‘Well, I have one more day left.’ And I started crying. I don’t actually like to cry at work. I’m a really emotional person, but I try to stay super strong. It made me feel so uncomfortable. Jake was like, ‘It’s good, you have to get it out!’ and I just started welling up.”

To commemorate the wrap, Brown posted a montage of photos on her Instagram account starting with her at age 11 and ending with a video of her goodbye to the cast and crew of “Stranger Things.”
