Met Gala 2017: Twitter Reacts to Diddy’s Red Carpet Antics

Sean “Diddy” Combs has never been one to avoid the spotlight.

Whether through music, fashion, or the simple act of playing up his celebrity persona, the hip-hop mogul is always down to do something outlandish. And tonight’s Met Gala 2017 proved no exception. Diddy attended at the annual fundraising event with R&B singer Cassie, and while their matching outfits drew attention initially, it was the man formerly known as Puff Daddy who turned the arrival into a social media frenzy.

As Cassie killed the cameras the old fashioned way, Diddy decided to break etiquette and take a seat— of all places, right in the middle of the Gala steps. Some fans decided to get inside Diddy’s head and take guesses as to what he could’ve been thinking. “Diddy got that mama pose you about to get a whoopin for acting up in school,” theorizes one user, while others decided to take more outlandish directions.
