Lucy Hale Commemorates ‘Pretty Little Liars’ 15th Anniversary With Throwback Pics of the Cast

Lucy Hale celebrated the 15th anniversary of “Pretty Little Liars” in a heartfelt Instagram post featuring a carousel of candid pics. The Freeform series premiered on June 8, 2010, and ran for 7 seasons, wrapping up in 2017. 

It’s hard to believe that 15 years have passed since audiences were introduced to the teens of Rosewood and the elusive “A” who terrorized them. Hale, 36, who played Aria on the show shared how much “PLL” meant to her in the caption of her post. “This experience changed my life and I will always be grateful to everyone involved,” the actor wrote. 

The photos Hale posted included behind-the-scenes shots of her fellow “Liars,” Ashley Benson, Sasha Pieterse, Shay Mitchell, and Troian Bellisario. Hale also posted pics of other cast members Ian Harding, Chad Lowe, Holly Marie Combs, and Keegan Allen. 

The ‘Liars’ are as Nostalgic as Fans

Hale’s post received comments from several of her co-stars including Bellisario, Pieterse, and Janel Parrish. Bellisario, who played Spencer, wrote, “Still can’t believe it! Miss you sweet goose!” Pieterse, who played Alison commented, “Love you so much!” Parrish, who portrayed Mona, chimed in to say, “Love you Luce! Grateful for you.” 

Shay Mitchell, who played Emily on “Pretty Little Liars,” shared her own post on Instagram a few days prior, a pic that featured a mini reunion with Benson and Bellisario, along with a different series of throwback photos. “Somehow it’s been 15 years since we all started lying professionally…,” Mitchell, 38, wrote. 

What Has the Cast Been Doing Since ‘PLL’ Ended?

Since the finale of “Pretty Little Liars” in June of 2017, Hale has appeared in many other projects including series like “Katy Keene,” “Riverdale,” and “Ragdoll.” Hale has since found love too, as it was recently reported by People that the actor is dating “Too Hot to Handle” star Harry Jowsy. 

Hale’s castmates have been super busy as well, especially in their personal lives. Mitchell, Bellisario, Pieterse, and Benson, who all played teenagers on the show, now have children of their own, as does Brant Daugherty, who played Noel Kahn.

Several “Pretty Little Liars” stars were also contestants on “Dancing With the Stars,” including Daugherty on season 17, Parrish on season 19, and Pieterse on season 25. In an interview with Us Weekly, Pieterse expressed that she hoped her former co-stars would come cheer her on as she competed for the Mirrorball trophy, “It’ll be like a little reunion,” she said.
