‘Love Is Blind’ Stars Lauren & Cameron Hamilton Expecting First Baby

Lauren Speed-Hamilton and Cameron Hamilton, fan favorites from season one of Netflix’s “Love Is Blind,” announced via People that they’re expecting their first child — a joyful milestone after years of facing fertility challenges together.

The couple, who married in 2018 after falling in love on the popular reality series, shared their happy news in an interview with People on May 26. “We were counting down the days ‘til we could test because we did IVF,” Cameron, 34, explained. “We did the classic test and we both went into the bathroom to look. We saw the word pregnant. That was just a huge moment, to actually see the word pregnant on the test.”

For Lauren, 37, the experience was deeply emotional. “Seeing the word pregnant, it was amazing,” she said. “We just looked at each other. I fell to my knees and cried. It’s been a long time coming. We’ve literally been trying to get pregnant for four years.”

The Couples’ Pregnancy Journey

The pregnancy announcement comes just seven months after the couple opened up about their fertility journey on their podcast, “The Love Seat.”

In a heartfelt October episode, Cameron tearfully reflected on the challenges Lauren faced during in-vitro fertilization. “When I saw what you were going through, in terms of taking the medications, doing the daily shots,” he shared, “knowing that IVF and all this stuff wasn’t really something that you naturally wanted to do but you did it for me — you showed me a new level of love that I’d never seen before.”

Lauren, too, credited their struggles with strengthening their bond. “It has affected us as a couple because it has made us feel more connected,” she said at the time. “We support each other. We’re more in tune now. In marriage or any type of relationship, when you go through something that’s big and heavy or weighs on your heart, it creates a bond, and I think that it’s actually made us stronger.”

Facing Public Pressure

In past interviews, the couple has been candid about the pressures they faced from fans and the media asking when they would start a family. During a 2022 appearance on Tamron Hall, Lauren explained how difficult those questions could be.

“It’s definitely tough at times because it is a personal question,” she said. “We’re definitely grateful that everyone’s so excited and that people feel like they’re a part of our story, which they are because they watched us from the jump. But something like becoming pregnant, trying to get pregnant — for everyone, it’s not easy, and it can be a sensitive question.”
