Lorde is on the new soundtrack of Hunger Games: Mocking Jay, so she performed her latest song “Yellow Flicker Beat” at the 2014 American Music Awards. Lorde kicked things off slowly, in a dark and solemn manner. Then she exploded into a red-lit performance, trapped inside a box. Soon, the box lifted to reveal the AMAs stage. Lorde’s energy was insane as she crept all over the stage and swung her hair back and forth in fury.

At the end of the performance, Lorde smeared her dark lipstick across her face. In addition tonight, Lorde showed off a hole new figure, wearing a crop top, revealing a petite and new figure.

One thing that was adorable was Taylor Swift seriously into Lorde’s performance, dancing and singing along fiercely in the crowd. Check it out below.
