Former “Vanderpump Rules” star Kristen Doute is pregnant with her first child. Doute, who appeared on the hit Bravo show for the first eight seasons, will welcome a baby with fiance Luke Broderick in 2025.
“We are really looking forward to expanding our little family,” Doute told People magazine.
Many “Vanderpump Rules” fans speculated that Doute may be pregnant after viewing a TikTok shared by Tom Schwartz. In the video, Doute danced around in a Detroit Lions jersey, and fans thought that a baby bump was clearly visible.
Doute and Broderick,who got engaged in Hawaii in September 2024, star on Bravo’s “The Valley.” They will welcome their baby in June 2025.
Kristen Doute Previously Opened Up About Pregnancy Loss
On an episode of her podcast in November 2023, Doute shared that she previously suffered a miscarriage.
“I only feel comfortable talking about this because I know so many friends of mine have gone through this. I know so many women have been through this. And it’s really [expletive] terrifying because you always think, ‘What’s wrong, what did I do wrong? Could I have done something different?'” she said on the November 26, 2023, episode of “Sex, Love, and What Else Matters.”
“And my doctor and my friends told me, inside and out, up and down, there’s no cause. They don’t know why. The only silver lining, the fact that we’ve now been digesting this for the last four or five days, is that I know once Luke and I are past this, we can try again. And we were very lucky and very fortunate that we got pregnant so quickly. We were so so lucky because it could have gone a different way for me at my age,” she continued.
“I haven’t gone through IVF, I haven’t frozen my eggs. I haven’t done anything. I just think there’s something in God’s plan. It was just a really unfortunate thing that happened to us. And I know that we can try fairly soon. And I think that we’re very hopeful to have a very healthy pregnancy the next time around,” she added.
In her interview with People magazine published on November 26, Doute explained how the pregnancy loss factored into trying to conceive again.
“We decided to start trying in early 2024. I knew my age could be a factor in conceiving, so Luke and I discussed going for an extra push, a little help,” Doute said.
“In late summer, we decided to meet with a fertility specialist to learn about our options and what could be the next step if we decided to go that route. The next month was a whirlwind — getting educated on fertility, and eventually hormone shots and preparing my body for IUI (intrauterine insemination),” she explained.
“I was relieved, overwhelmed, happy, excited and nervous. The second I told Luke, he wasn’t surprised, but was SO happy that IUI worked the first time (we were prepared that it may not). He was joyful and beyond excited, to say the least,” she added.
Kristen Doute Has Wanted to Become a Mom for a Long Time
Doute has been very candid about wanting to start a family. In fact, she’s talked about her desire to have a baby multiple times on her new podcast.
On the January 4, 2023, episode of “Sex, Love, and What Else Matters,” Doute’s boyfriend said that he and Doute were planning on looking for a house sometime in 2023. Podcast guest and longtime Doute pal Tom Schwartz asked Doute if she was pregnant.
“No. I’m drinking wine right now,” she responded. “I wish I were pregnant,” she continued, adding, “I would love to be pregnant right now. But it’s not true.”
On another episode while chatting with pal Lala Kent, Doute expressed something similar.
“I can’t stop [expletive] talking about how much I want a baby more than anything in the world,” she said.
