Julie Chrisley stepped out for the first time since her release from prison, debuting a dramatically different look.
The “Chrisley Knows Best” star was spotted leaving a local butcher shop on Thursday, May 29, in Nashville, Tennessee. During her latest outing, Chrisley debuted her shoulder-length natural hair with gray roots on full display, as seen in the photos obtained by Fox Digital. She also appeared make-up-free and even smiled as she hopped into a car.
Her appearance was a far cry from how she looked before beginning her sentence in 2023 at the Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky.
Inside Todd & Julie Chrisley’s Pardon
On Wednesday, May 28, Todd and Julie Chrisley were released from prison after being granted a pardon by President Donald Trump. The couple was convicted of fraud and tax crimes in 2022, though they pleaded not guilty.
Todd was supposed to serve a 12-year prison sentence in Pensacola, while Julie had been sentenced to seven years at Federal Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky, per CNN.
Prior to getting released, both Todd and Julie maintained their innocence and even intended to appeal their convictions. However, their daughter, Savannah Chrisley, got a call from the president informing her that her parents would receive full pardons.
“It’s a terrible thing,” Trump said in a recorded call shared on X. “But it’s a great thing because your parents are gonna be free and clean, and I hope we can do it by tomorrow. Is that OK? We’ll try getting it done tomorrow.”
The president also clarified that he doesn’t know Todd and Julie personally, but wishes them a good life.
Meanwhile, an attorney for the Chrisleys told Page Six that the couple’s early release “corrects a deep injustice.”
Julie & Todd’s Prison Release Draws Mixed Reactions
The early release of Julie and Todd drew divided opinions from the public. While some were in favor of it, others were more critical.
One fan commented on X, “President Trump is rightly using his pardon power to correct an injustice and bring fairness back to a system that often overreaches. This is a clear demonstration of leadership and a commitment to justice for all Americans.”
Another chimed in, “I know they weren’t everyone’s cup of tea, but I loved the Chrisleys. This is an unexpected surprise. I’m happy for the family.”
Meanwhile, some argued that since Julie and Todd had been found guilty, they should serve their full sentences like any other convicted individual.
One disappointed user asked, “Weren’t they actually found guilty of fraud?” while another noted, “These people are convicted criminals. What a disgraceful thing to do.”
Todd and Julie rose to fame through “Chrisley Knows Best,” which debuted in 2014.
