She celebrated the moment with a sweet, heartfelt tribute to her “golden boy.” On June 18, Roberts shared a throwback photo of Henry as a young boy, accompanied by a message filled with love and nostalgia.
“In the blink of a joyful eye this beacon of a boy is 18,” Roberts, 57, wrote, alongside a childhood snap of Henry in a green hoodie, gazing into the camera with his signature blue eyes. “I love you Henry. #goldenboy #goldenbirthday.”

Julia and her husband, cinematographer Danny Moder, 56, typically keep their family life out of the spotlight.
But on Mother’s Day this year, Moder offered fans a rare glimpse of their children — twins Hazel and Phinnaeus, 20, and Henry — on Instagram.
“Mothers make the coolest stuff,” he captioned a sweet photo of Roberts with their kids on May 11. “Love these guys.”
Roberts on Parenting: ‘I’m the Same Mom, No Matter What’
Though their kids are now young adults, Roberts shared that her parenting approach hasn’t changed — no matter how far from home they may be.
“I parent them the same way out of the house that I parented them in the house,” she told Today in 2023.
“Which is, you know, ‘Are you getting enough sleep?’ and ‘You sound like you’re sick,’ and ‘Are you drinking tea?’ and ‘Text me when you get home so I can see that you’re home safe and sound.'”
One key family rule? Phones stay away during family time. “For us, we just had sort of simple rules where we had a charging station, where everybody’s phone goes when you get home,” she explained. “There’s no phones at the table, certainly.”
Family Comes First for Roberts
Just days before celebrating Henry’s birthday, Roberts honored her husband on Father’s Day.
Sharing a fun photo of Moder holding a snake-like stick, Roberts wrote on June 15: “Such a great joy in life to see you Fathering! ⚡️⚡️⚡️ Happy Father’s Day dearest Danny 🌟.”
For Roberts, motherhood remains her proudest role.
In a 2022 interview with CBS Sunday Morning, the Oscar winner shared: “The life that I’ve built with my husband, the life that we’ve built with our children — that’s the best stuff. To come home at the end of the day triumphantly to them.”
Even with the family often spread across different time zones, Roberts said they stay connected. “Sometimes we’re all in different parts of the world, but we still make time to FaceTime each other.”
