Beloved Compassionate Judge Passes Away & Tributes Pour In

Judge Frank Caprio, who was well known on social media for making compassionate decisions in the courtroom, has passed away at the age of 88.

The news of his passing broke following a post on his personal Instagram page.

“Judge Frank Caprio passed away peacefully at the age of 88 after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer,” the post read. “Beloved for his compassion, humility, and unwavering belief in the goodness of people, Judge Caprio touched the lives of millions through his work in the courtroom and beyond. His warmth, humor, and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew him.”

“He will be remembered not only as a respected judge, but as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. His legacy lives on in the countless acts of kindness he inspired,” they continued. “In his honor, may we each strive to bring a little more compassion into the world — just as he did every day.”

Caprio became famous for his show “Caught in Providence,” which ran from 2018 to 2020, where he dismissed traffic tickets for those who shared personal stories about what they were going through at the time. Many videos from the show have circulated on social media in recent years.
