Love is in full bloom this summer, and no one’s showing it off quite like Josh Allen and the talented Hailee Steinfeld. The newlyweds were recently spotted strolling through Calabasas, California. As far as the public is concerned, or the paparazzi, rather, this is their first public outing since tying the knot in a private, star-studded ceremony on May 31.
Allen, 29, fresh off an MVP season and a record-breaking $330 million contract extension with the Buffalo Bills, looked relaxed as he rocked some athletic shorts and a T-shirt. Beside him was his 28-year-old wife, who was casually stunning in high-waisted jeans, a white tank, and a Miu Miu baseball cap. And yes, fans caught a glimpse of her dazzling engagement ring stacked above a sparkling wedding band. Talk about major bling!
Their surprise wedding, held at San Ysidro Ranch in Montecito, was everything you’d expect from a Hollywood-NFL power couple. It included everything from breathtaking gowns (yes, plural), a multi-day celebration, and an afterparty that ended with guests cannonballing into the pool at 3 a.m.
“I mean they’ve all been big, none other than marrying my best friend,” Allen told reporters shortly after returning to Bills minicamp. “And she makes everything easier, so I don’t really focus on the other stuff. That was the most important decision I’ll make in my life, and I made the right one.”
Hailee Steinfeld & Josh Allen: From End Zones to Box Office Hits
Both Allen and Steinfeld have been riding high professionally, too. Allen’s jaw-dropping performance this past NFL season earned him an ESPY nomination for Best NFL Player and Best Athlete—Men. That, plus a massive contract extension, makes it clear the Bills QB isn’t slowing down anytime soon. He’s set to report for training camp on July 23 at St. John Fisher University in New York.
Meanwhile, Steinfeld is breaking records of her own. Her latest film, “Sinners,” co-starring the talented Michael B. Jordan, became the highest-grossing original horror movie in domestic box office history. Safe to say it’s still earning major buzz. So much so that the success earned her a nomination for Best Supporting Actress from the Astra Midseason Movie Awards. In an email newsletter to fans, Steinfeld reflected on both her career and her whirlwind wedding weekend.
“I’m sitting here with Josh, and we’re reminiscing on the best weekend of our lives for the millionth time,” she wrote. “Over the past two weeks, random yet very specific memories have been popping back into our heads… often through smiles, laughs, and tears.”
Among the details she shared were a pre-wedding family dinner, handwritten speeches from friends that she stole to frame, an olive oil cake with vanilla buttercream, and an underground afterparty featuring grilled cheese, cookies with milk, and an Angel Margarita bar. Honestly? Major goals, if you ask us.
What’s Next for the Newlyweds?
After a dreamy Hawaiian honeymoon and a quick stop at the “Sinners” premiere in Mexico City, the couple is settling into married life.
Steinfeld seems to be keeping things cozy before awards season kicks off, but is said to be working on some music in the meantime. With Allen back on the field soon and Steinfeld prepping for the next wave of film and music projects, there’s no doubt we’ll be seeing more of these two. Everything from red carpets at football stadiums to everywhere in between.
So, whether you’re Bills Mafia or part of the Steinfan squad, it’s safe to say these two just entered their ultimate power couple era.
