Johnny Depp Looks Unrecognizable in Spain (PHOTO)

Johnny Depp is back in action and fans are getting a first look at his comeback film “Day Drinker.” They’re also getting a look at Depp … But he doesn’t look like himself.

Depp has undergone a huge transformation for the role and is unrecognizable, with silver hair and a whole new look.

The movie is currently filming in Spain and also stars Penelope Cruz and Madelyn Cline, according to Variety.

“Day Drinker” is directed by Marc Webb and, according to IMDb, the plot states, “An enigmatic stranger forms an unlikely bond with a grieving bartender who lost her lover, their lives intertwining in unexpected ways.”

The report says Webb, whose other films include “500 Days of Summer” and Disney’s 2025 live action “Snow White” remake, shared his enthusiasm about the project. “I’m excited to be starting production with Johnny, Madelyn, Penelope, and this incredible cast,” he gushed, before adding, “We’re in a beautiful location with a fantastic crew and a thrilling, ferocious story to tell. This is gonna be fun.”

Four More Talented Actors Round Out the Cast

The cast will also include Manu Ríos, Arón Piper, Juan Diego Botto and Anika Boyle. Ríos is known for appearing in “Strange Way of Life,” a 2023 Western romance starring Pedro Pascal.

Piper has four films under his belt, with the most recent being 2021’s “Once Upon a Time in Euskadi.” Botto has worked in an extensive list of films and stage plays, and Boyle is known for portraying Alice Creel in “Stranger Things.”

“Day Drinker” Comeback Marks Depp’s First Major Movie Since 2018

Page Six pointed out that the upcoming film is Depp’s first movie from a major distributor since he appeared in “Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindewald,” a “Harry Potter” spinoff, seven years ago.

Fans appear to be looking forward to seeing the star back in action. One commented on an ExtraTV post about the film, “Johnny looks great! I’m excited to see ‘Day Drinker.'”

Another wrote, “Every project with Johnny carries a certain magic.” She also called him “a presence that lingers long after the scene” and said she “can’t wait.”
