John Travolta’s Focus Is Fatherhood First

Actor John Travolta has been focusing on his daughter Ella Bleu Travolta over the past year, according to an exclusive story from In Touch.

The source told the outlet that those close to Travolta were worried about Ella as she was a young adult when she lost her mother Kelly Preston to breast cancer in July 2020.

“It’s been a huge contrast from her childhood, when her parents were totally mainstream figures in Hollywood and she regularly walked red carpets with them,” the source added.

“Of course, John always loves to work and pursue his passion for aviation, but Ella and her well-being come first and John has been very focused on her over the last year,” the source continued.

Ella Released a Song in Honor of Her Mother

Ella Travolta previously spoke about her grief after losing her mother and how music helped her though it, according to an interview with PEOPLE in September 2024.

The singer released a song called “Little Bird” where she was able to express how she felt after the loss.

“It had been a couple years, obviously, since my mom’s passing, so I could look at the whole situation and take a step back from it and see what I wanted to communicate on it and what I wanted to communicate to her and what I was feeling in general,” she told PEOPLE.

Ella also spoke highly of her father as he was the first person she shared her music with and frequently leans on him for advice.

“He’s a complete role model for me and one of the biggest things also that he does is he’ll give me advice,” she told PEOPLE in October 2024. “The best advice that I’ve gotten obviously is from him, but he also really leaves it up to me, which I really appreciate.”

John Travolta Celebrated His Late Wife on Mother’s Day

The “Pulp Fiction” actor posted a heartfelt tribute to Preston on Mother’s Day.

“Happy Mother’s Day Kelly! You did a great job!! We love you!” Travolta wrote alongside an image of their family prior to her passing.

Travolta also shares a 14-year-old son named Ben with Preston, as well as Jett who died at the age of 16 in January 2009 after suffering from a seizure.

Ella Travolta shared a series of red hearts in response to her dad’s message.

Actress Rita Wilson expressed how Preston was an amazing woman. “One of the best mothers,” she wrote. “So kind so loving so funny.”
